This movie is a total guilty pleasure. I wouldn’t spend my hard-earned money to purchase it on DVD, but I sure would Netflix it or watch it on TV on a nice, quite Sunday when nothing else is on.

Ceej, I love me some Tasha Scott. She was like the designated little black girl singing high notes on film in the 80′s. “Tasha, you’re on ‘Amen’. Sing your high notes!” “Tasha, you’re in Troop Beverly Hills, sing your high notes!” “Tasha, you’re on ’227′, sing some high notes!”
I Love this movie and this song, by the way and I still know the words 50 years later.

I remember Jenny Lewis from the series “Brooklyn Bridge’ from ages ago…I thought she was really good in that and was surprised when I found out she’d become a singer…I think she would have done well had she continued acting also.

This movie is in my comfort movie all-time top five. Jenny Lewis also stars in one of my Lifetime all-time top fives: “Sweet Temptation.” She faces _temptation_, in the form of dude-from-silk-stalkings, who is the boyfriend of her mom, who is a pastry chef (i.e., she makes _sweet_s). Get it?
Did anyone else point out Carla Gugino’s role as the rich girl whose parents forget her birthday? And don’t forget Becca from Life Goes On! It’s an all star cast!
