We actually saw Wayne in a casino recently in Vegas. Believe me, he looks exactly like the wax figure of himself at the Wax Museum there. It was not a pretty site.
I can not believe how narrow minded and ugly you people are. You should be half the person Wayne Newton is. He will certainly get my vote. Be sure and watch because you may learn something from a very kind and talented person.
I REALLY AM GLAD THAT DANCING WITH THE STARS DOES NOT JUST HAVE CELEBRITYS ON THE SHOW THAT ARE YOUNG,BEAUTIFUL, AND IN PERFECT SHAPE. I AM REALLY GLAD THEY HAVE STARS LIKE WAYNE NEWTON, JERRY SPRINGER, AND EVEN MASTER P ON THE SHOW. IT WOULD NOT BE AS ENTERTAINING IF EVERY ONE ON THE SHOW WAS BEAUTIFUL AND GRACEFUL AND KNEW HOW TO DANCE.
To the poster below, if you think watching Mr.P drag and stomp and walk his way across a dance floor and you also think Jerry Springer is great entertainment, no wonder you are such a Wayner fan! Yeah lets have more celebs who cannot dance at all (like Billy R last year) so that the stars who are in shape and actually learn the steps and can dance are sent home first.
I think the show was designed for all people from all walks of life – young and old. The previous poster seems so certain that Wayne cannot dance – he may surprise you! Personally, I am truly looking forward to seeing the next season and even more so since Wayne is being considered. It is a great show and if Wayne does as good at dancing as he does at performing than he deserves the votes!

Well I am one of the many “cotton heads” who is 74 years young and have been a friend/fan of Wayne’s since the 70′s and I will be until I die. You “negative doubters” that are questioning his abilities and looks are going to be in for big surprise! Wayne has the talent, charisma, rhythm and he is very agile. In just a matter of mintes, Wayne has his audienes that come to his shows in the palm of his hand with his enthsiasm, tireless energy and charm. I can also tell you that many of the “younger generation” come to his shows and enjoy every minute! So just sit back and watch the show and enjoy the Wayne we all know and love. I took ballroom lessons for 15yrs. I have broke, trained and shown horses for most of my life. High level horsemanship and ballroom dancing share many skills and aspects. It may suprise people how well someone with Wayne’s musicality, personality, and ability to communicate non verbally with another being, does on this show.
I am excited at the possibility of his appearance on my favorite TV show.
i think wayne will be a wonderful addition to the consestants of dancing with the stars. Not only is Wayne a amazing performer he is also an amazing person. You will not find another person who has committed their time and effort to the USO tours as much as Wayne, with his 7 trips to the Middle East and countless shows of support.
I am not a “cotton head”, I am a 30 something and I am greatly looking forward to seeing Wayne on “Dancing witht the Stars.” He is an amazing entertainer and incredibly talented. He will be dedicated to learning the dances and he will put on a great show! Clearly those who are critizing have not seen him perform. He is a great entertainer as well as humanatarian and person.
Wayne Newton is one of the most amazing entertainers in the world, and will be an outstanding addition to “Dancing with the Stars”. Not only is he someone with tremendous talent, he is one of the most kind and generous performers of our generation. I predict a huge ratings jump for the show when he appears…

Dancing With The Stars is one of my favorite shows. The additon of Mr Wayne Newton to the line up thrills me to death, I cannot wait to see him perform. I have seen him in Vegas and there is no questioning why he has earned the love and respect of so many people. He is a truly the most talented person I have ever seen. His charm simply captivates the audiences. Mr Newton, I salute you; and I am looking forward to watching you glide across those boards!
It will be a pleasure to see Wayne Newton perform and dance. He is classy, and someone who knows what “professional behavior” is in entertaining people. He will definitely get our vote weekly.
