I love this band, and I, too, have noticed the remarkable change. I saw them shortly after Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers came out, and while the set was good, I found myself trying to make out the character of the band. Things changed dramatically when I saw them shortly after The Boxer came out. I think it has a lot to do with Matt’s confidence in himself as the front person of the band. Lush songs, gorgeous vocals. Highly recommended.
