And the nominees for Worst Supporting Actor are...

Dear readers,

You comments on last week’s "Worst Supporting Actor" PopWatch item were so spectacularly spot-on, we turned ‘em into a photo gallery. (Click here to see it.) And while you didn’t score the $4 per word Carrie Bradshaw once made writing for Vogue on Sex and the City, wouldn’t you rather get paid in the love and adulation of your fellow EW.com readers? (If your answer is "no," then consider your work payment for my seeing I Know Who Killed Me on your behalf.)

Thank you, and now back to your regular blog-commenting schedule.

Hugs and ponies,
Slezak

Oh man, the first actor that came to mind.
–> Cameron Diaz in “Gangs of New York”–horribly miscast, I cringed everytime she was on screen. Gross.

Aaahh, Michael, I l-l-love that episode, “why are you taking the bus if you’re on the bus?” or “these shoes pinch my feet, but I love ‘em!”
Ahh I would have to say that the worst supporting actor would have to be …I can’t think of any, I just wanted to reply to Michael’s Sex and the City comment : )

I liked the gallery a lot, but was disappointed that Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane didn’t make the list. Does PopWatch think we’re hard enough on her already?

    Jennifer Connelly in Blood Diamond
    Jennifer Anniston in Derailed

Re: worst actors. I’m surprised there were two men omitted from this list: Charlie Sheen and Nicholas Cage – both of whom are terrible in everything. I will not see any movie/tv show with either of these guys in it.

Great Photo Gallery! I recognized many of the comments and couldn’t agree more…

OMG Slezak!! i didn’t even think about it til now, but..
    TONY CURTIS in SPARTACUS!!!!
That crazy brooklyn accent stuck out like a sore thumb in the middle of the Roman Empire. i can only imagine Kubrick digging his fingers into his palms every time Tony spoke on camera..
    k, that’s all.. kisses!

To Judelah7- There is an exception to the sea of crap from Nicholas Cage, Adaptation. He is great in it and got an Oscar nomination. He hasn’t even tried since.

    I love seeing Reader’s Picks :)

I definitely agree with the Katie Holmes references…she hasn’t shown much talent since Dawson’s Creek, which was, well, quite awhile ago

  • Matthew Cruz

Spot-on List? What list were you reading?
I kept reading and my jaw kept dropping – JOAQUIN PHOENIX in Gladiator? How’s about one of the most deserved Oscar-nominated performances from the year 2000? Every line was delivered with creepy, slithery villainy. It was believable and engaging.
Don Cheadle? Adrien Grienier (what did he ever DO in the film, btw?) Emma Watson (did anyone even SEE Daniel Radcliffe?) Julia Stiles? Billy Zane? Goodness, what have people been watching?
My picks? Orlando Bloom in “Troy” and Colin Farrel in “Alexander.”

No offense but….this list kind of sucks. A few I agree with, a few are not as bad as all that, and a few are even kind of good. There are MUCH worse choices.
Mickey Rooney is the #1 answer, though

This movie has WAY too many movies released within the span of 3 years. People, movies existed before 1993.

sorry…’this list has way too many…’

Kari Wurher in all she’s ever been part of. Girlfriend got fired from a soap. Couldn’t act her way out of a speeding ticket if she were actually in labor.
