Who Else Remembers This? (Vol. 9)

I realize it’s only been a month since I blogged about a classic Central Park West catfight between Raquel Welch and Lauren Hutton, but I couldn’t resist pointing out this equally vicious (though far more delicate) exchange between Victoria Principal and Yasmine Bleeth on the short-lived 2000 soap opera Titans. The way Principal drops that "When were we not talking about houses?" zinger, she might as well be hurling a beaker of acid straight at her younger rival’s face. Now if someone could just post a YouTube clip of Bleeth’s bitchy Heather telling Lourdes Benedicto’s Samantha that interoffice romances are "strictly verboten," I could die a happy man. If not that, maybe the casting geniuses at Desperate Housewives could just hire Bleeth and Principal for a couple of juicy recurring roles for next season?

Ew, that wasn’t even hot trash — that was just trash. I see why that is no longer on the air and Principal is trying to help you stay young buy selling “ancient chinese secrets.”

thats why i love you slezak!!!! you remind me of trash that i have long forgotten!! i loved “titans” and was soo sad that it was only on for like 9 episodes……i was quoting lines from it for months afterwards!!
and btw…..im seeing beyonce tonight….don’t be jealous!

Oh, Titans. I only made it through three episodes before I gave up on it. I had such high hopes, too! It was Ingo Rademacher’s big move to primetime! Now he will be stuck as Jasper Jacks forever.
Is Yasmine Bleeth still a cokehead? I hope not.

!!! i was totally obsessed with titans. the perfect pop trash-terpiece. the way they always lit victoria principal was classic. her eye-light was always SOOOO much brighter than everything else in the frame, like she was some silent screen star. insane.

Ah, Central Park West. God bless that show. It took real effort and talent on the part of that production team to make the georgaphical location of Central Park West actually seem uninteresting and silly.

Awesome. I used to love the boardroom scenes… and John Barrowman has never been better than he was on this show.
