I’m actually relatively happy at the moment. Read the full post.

Normally I champion Michael Chiklis for his consistent, stellar work on The Shield. His explosive combination of good cop/bad cop is, quite simply, outstanding. However, this past season truly belonged to Walton Goggins. His ability to make me simultaneously hate and feel bad for Shane is stunning. I’m angry that Walt & Chiklis were shut out this year. And don’t even get me started about the entire series! The incredible work from the rest of the cast and creative forces behind the show deserve recognition! I have my fingers crossed: perhaps next year the Emmys will heap large sums of love on this amazing series for its final season.
At least they got a few things right, including Denis Leary’s nod for his awesome work on Rescue Me.

*sigh* I’ve read a lot of these types of posts and have YET to see anyone mention Spike Lee’s “When the levees broke”. I thought that miniseries was hearbreakingly genius.

I’m sick of great actors on “old” shows not being recognized. Maura Tierney was brilliant on News Radio and also on ER. Still a great show!!

    Nominations I agree with:
    -30 Rock Best Comedy
    -Amercia Fearra,Jenna Fisher,Rainn Wilson
    -Heroes Best Drama, Masi Oka
    -Sandra Oh and Cathrine Hegli
-Everything Sopranos(Edie Falco and Michael Imperrioli espeacially :)
    Outraged by:
    -Two and a half Men(seriously!?)
-no Jason Lee or Jack Coleman
-Grey’s Anatomy(I enjoyed the first half of the season but shouldn’t something be good all the time to apply? It just got nominated because the Emmys want to attract the fans of the show.
But here’s the flaw anybody who loves that show now isn’t sophisticated enough to care about awards or critcal acclaim)
