I notice he also didn’t want to appear in the “Dead Like Me” movie. He is a very gifted character actor and probably one of the best, but given his theatre backround I would have to think that these shows he walks off of are more do to him being more part of an ensemble cast, and maybe he was hoping to eat up more screen time so the show(s) would morph into the “Mandy Patinkin” show(s). But alas Mandy, as great as you are your still and always will be a “Character” actor. Revel in that and you won’t be such a “Quitter”.
I just watch Criminal Minds when Gideon is on. I don’t care for Rossi as an actor, never liked any of his films.

I miss Gideon..and I miss Mandy playing Gideon..
I just love Mandy Patinkin (Gideon) I would hate to see his character die, as he plays a very important role being a mature experience agent, expert in human behavior. He is like the top knowledgeable head of the group and very much respected by his group. I can’t see anyone else replacing him, but if his role has to be replaced , then his replacement should be a mature equally experienced male. “Just,don’t kill him.” I would not like to see Gideon killed he should be taken out due to a illness. I really hope they will be able to work together to resolve the problems in hand. As I feel the show would not be the same without him.
WE stopped watching because the show has become ludicrous – no cohesion, unbelievable characters (Kristen, “baby girl” ) nothing but hollywood stereotypes. When Mandy left, the show died.
I loved &miss mandy pantinkin’s jason character,but if he left on his own then,oh well!I just wish that there was more personal relationships conveyed on the show 2 make it more authentic,it’d b more interesting 2 c some kind of dynamic in other relationships rather than just btwn garcia &derek which is a great one but in real life,7 people working together would have a more complicated relationship!1and what’s up with the constant elimination of the female actors?I’m getting tired &bored with it &I’ll speak 4 all the fans,we start 2 like characters only 2 b yanked away!and why the constant repetition of old episodes on ion?can’t they afford new ones?I love the show but I’m getting weary!
