Mulder and Scully return: Are you psyched?

Sometime in late 1996 — shortly after I got EW’s exhaustive X-Files episode-guide issue in the mail at college — I decided to sit down Read the full post.

Seasons 1-5 of the X-Files were the absolute best. It was like seeing a mini movie once a week. The movie was subpar and Seasons 6-9 were subpar. Mainstreaming the show, dumbing down the characters as well romanticizing Mulder and Scully destroyed the show.
For me to see another movie, they would have to ignore seasons 6-9 and go back to the high quality that are the classic seasons.

Man I never got to see the show when it was on except the occasional episode because I was only 12 when the series ended but to fill the void that has been left by LOST in its exceptionally long hiatus I have been going through the series one season at a time when I have to money to get them I’m just about to start season six. When I heard the news that there was going to be another movie I got really stoked because after I finish season nine it’ll give me something to look forward to. WOOOOOOOO

I would love to see another “X-Files” sequel. As a devoted fan of the series, I miss new adventures from Mulder and Scully. But if they do decide to make a sequel, they should just pick up in the middle of the sixth season. The last three seasons were very disappointing, with Mulder’s exit and Scully’s pregnancy. Luckily, David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, and Chris Carter all seem to be on board (or so it seems), so maybe this long-anticipated project can get its show on the road. “X-Files” was a great series (for the first six seasons) with an intelligence mix of compelling characters, creepy storylines, and pure entertainment. My fingers are crossed!!!!!!!!

Am I to take it you don’t like the x files? What silly questions you ask! I loved that show when I was a kid, yes and yes!

  • Tony Smith

Yes, I thought it may come to this, I mean that both of them went off and tried working on other films and programmes etc and it hasn’t worked out so thier careers began to wane a little so as soon as this idea is put on the table they jump to it in order to revive thier flagging careers. This is how they survive at Hollywood. I guess this is an option available to every actor that when your not in the limelight, make a comeback with a sequel.
