Okay, technically, it’s not the entire TV department. It’s more like a small but shameless contingent of us, led by Dalton Ross and Henry Goldblatt. Exhibit A: The following email excerpt:
Dalton: How did I not know this? Paradise Hotel is returning, to MyNetwork TV and Fox Reality! All new episodes! And I thought it was gone for-evaaaaa!
Henry: You can’t see me right now but I just screamed for joy. Everyone in the subway station stared… Until the train doors opened to the sound of a heinous mariachi band, and I was no longer the subject of everyone’s disgust.

Henry: Um… I’ve decided to take a sabbatical.
Exhibit B: I have an autographed photo of Dave Kerpen hanging in my cube.
Now, apparently, we’re not the only ones eagerly awaiting the early 2008 return of Fox’s most honest reality show. (I say honest because the host came right out and said the only way to survive elimination was to "find a roommate." And also, if I remember correctly, producers changed the rules whenever they felt like it.) Fox Reality president David Lyle has said, "All of our research has shown that Paradise Hotel is a brand that reality viewers are desperate to see on TV again." So are you desperate for more of this? Or is there another reality show you’d like resurrected? Pssst, Mr. Lyle: Bachelorettes in Alaska!

I want a new “Temptation Island” and am irked they never re upped “Joe Schmoe” for a season 3. Actually, I just want to be “Jose Schmoe” in the Telemundo version (should they ever do one).

Wait, there have been re-runs of this show on Fox Reality and I never knew this??? I am going to have to check that channel out. I freakin’ loved this show way back in the summer of aught-three! I can’t wait to see Toni Ferrari get up in someone’s face screaming with her bug-eyes.
Yes…reruns! Fox Reality has it on rotation. I’ve seen it a few times. On a night my brother was visiting, he asked “what’s this crap?” than he and his friend sat and watched a marathon with me.
Yes, I’ll sadly admit it. A marathon. But, we had beer involved.
I’ve never watched Paradise, but, does anyone remember Forever Eden? Fox aired it a few summers ago, and it dissapeared mid run…I’d want that back, or, Murder in Small Town X, that show was SO GOOD.

Yes! Count me in on the rejoicing, I freakin loved that show! It totally stands up to repeat viewings, the Fox Reality marathons are good fun when nothing else is on. Is that a photo of the new cast? cuz most of those people were not on the original show. I hope the new version is just as messed up as the original was, I wonder if they will be able to capture the magic again. It would be so sad if the new version turns out to be lame and all the participants are like, nice to each other and completely rational, that would be so boring.
My husband is so sad that this show is coming back. Not because he thinks it’s terrible, but because we live in Canada and can’t get Fox Reality. Seriously, it’s not like Fox is airing anything good on their regular network…can’t they just put this on every night?
