Jennifer Morrison, this is your Lifetime!

Jennifer_lHouse‘s Jennifer Morrison (pictured) will star as an American journalist in a Lifetime movie called The Murder of Princess Diana. I’m proud of Jennifer — she’s always decent in everything else she does. But does anyone else feel like Lifetime is her true calling? When I first saw her on House, I remember thinking "What made-for-TV movies have I seen this girl in?" It had a lot to do with her generically pretty face and lengthy, just-the-right-thickness-for-TV-styling hair. I believe I even levitated and traveled to my computer to look it up, which was huge. Turns out it wasn’t a made-for-TV movie; it was Dawson’s Creek, which is kind of the same thing. (I also just found this really unfortunate clip of Jen hanging out with old-nosed Ashlee Simpson, but don’t even click on that.)

I don’t mean any of this in a bad way: I like Jen-Mo and I get a kick out of Lifetime. Whether or not she’s really leaving House (as was suggested in the season finale), allow me to propose that there might be no stopping her once she’s been bitten by the Lifetime "original telefilm" butterfly. She could do hundreds! I want to see her break Meredith Baxter’s record of Lifetime movie roles. Jen’s only 28, so I think she can do it! Go, shiny hair, go!

So, who else on TV should segue into the Lifetime circuit?

She is a great actress. I don’t see why you felt the need to degrade her. PMS, Annie?

Is it just me, or does that photo of Jen remind anyone of Roma Downey (Touched by an Angel)? Now there’s someone who had really shiny hair, or at least she did once an episode. It got me thinking that maybe the two of them could do a project together cast as sisters.

Yeah, she’s pretty, and not a bad actress, but I have one word for you … VESTS. Why do they always make her wear a vest on House? Are they trying to start some sort of fashion trend? And if they are, then VESTS? Why? And who in the world has so many, and wears them to work every single day?

I’m glad you cleared that up, because when I heard she was going to be in a Princess Diana movie, I thought she was *playing* Princess Diana.
But I’m so disturbed by that Ashlee Simpson clip. Almost as disturbed as I am by the fact that I remember watching that episode on MTV.

I nominate….Rena Sofer. And since Lifetime movies are one time things, she couldn’t kill the series!

Katee Sackhoff (from BSG) is starring in a Lifetime move in August, though she says it’s the channel’s first “romantic comedy” — from what I’ve heard, the plot is vaguely similar to “13 Going on 30″. If it worked well for Jen Garner, hopefully it’ll also work well for Katee. I’m keeping my fingers crossed… though I reserve the right to watch from behind those crossed fingers.

Whoa, houseaholic, AMAZING call on the vests. I’ve noticed that for a long time. I kind of like them though because they’re so anachronistic and weird, and most peeps aren’t skinny enough to pull them off!
Yep, PMS! You got it. But I seriously do like her!

As a House fan, I’m hoping the dude who plays Foreman(Omar Epps) leaves and joins Lifetime, lol. I can’t stand his character on the show. Hopefully ‘Cameron’ comes back!-

I like her and think she does a great job on a high-quality show. I don’t see why you have to connect her to Lifetime, which isn’t known for high-quality. It’s stupid.

As long as it gets her off of House where her character is the weakest (and most annoying) link in the cast, I’m all for Morrison’s move to Lifetime.

I am now dumber than I was thirty seconds ago.
I followed the clip. I know, you told us not to…I should have listened.

Actresses I can see having a future in Lifetime movies:
    Jennifer Love Hewitt
Kate Walsh (I love her, but once “Private Practice” fails, she has to go somewhere)
Dakota Fanning (once she finishes up her “child actor” career, goes through the requisite rebellious/drug phase, has an E True Hollywood Story done about her, and comes out on top.)

  • Nora

I agree with Chris. What is it about Jennifer Morrison or Dr. Cameron that makes people so hateful?

  • tauseef

I’m proud of Jennifer she’s always decent in everything else she does.
