I was a little surprised that the girls were not smart enough to put the waffle house girl onto the egg frying right off the bat (they wouldn’t even let her do when when she volunteered!). I am pulling for her as well. She seems to know what she is capable of, be willing to pitch in and to learn. Snobbery won’t help any of them win!

I insist that HK be put on TV Watch. And, I’m not in a very good mood so you better make it happen. Teaching 3rd graders who are squirrely awaiting summer makes me cranky. Watching Chef is cathartic. Plus, as the only reality tv show my Cradle of Filth loving 14 year old son will watch, you just have to know its got a huge fan base. There is nothing like the bonding that’s done while howling over life in the kitchen.

I think Aaron should’ve gone home cuz he didn’t do anything right and he kept crying over little things. Too bad it had to be the losing team that had to eliminate someone. I like Melissa cuz she’s a good leader and Julia cuz she actually seems likeable and she can cook.

i love how outrageous this show is — hyperbolic whispers (as whitney mentions) and over-the-top firey “special effects” — because it matches ramsey’s personality. he’s tyrannical, yes, but also a sweetheart who genuinely comforted aaron and generally wants people to succeed. other thing: i couldn’t believe the elimination back-stabbing either! that was thrilling! even if we agree with the decision, what was *that* about?

Another interesting bit in the FOX websites extras clips section that I was surprised they left out of the show was where Chef goes over to Aaron and – very nicely (!) asks him if he’s ok. When Aaron says he’s dizzy, Chef tells him to go outside & gets some air. Aaron starts to apologize, Chef tells him not to worry about it & that he cares about him (!!). Then we see the part they showed on the broadcast where Aaron tells the guys he’s taking 5 & will be back. So, Aaron was going to just try to keep working even though he wasn’t feeling well, but Chef TOLD him to go out. I thought that was interesting.
Oh, and add me to the voices calling for a TV WATCH BY WHITNEY!!!
