Hey, is chicken fried chicken penne a dish that they actually serve at Waffle House? Because if it is, I sense a road trip coming on.
You definitely do not parboil risotto. It is not like cooking rice. When you start adding broth, you need to stir it almost constantly, which you do not do with rice. Parboiling would make it like paste.
And Melissa is NOT hot. She has a nice body, but she’s a buttahface.
Thank you for the clarification, HH, but what were they talking about parboiling it for then? Shouldn’t people at this supposed level of cooking excellence know these things?
Yes! Please do a TV Watch, Whitney!
Great show… enjoyed it since season one …. and if you’ve ever been in the restaurant biz, then you would know that a cook from Waffle House is someone you want on your side! They work hard, crank out some food and have to remember all the orders. Yipes! I couldn’t do it and I bet RG couldn’t either.
Wintersux-whoever suggested parboiling the risotto (that nanny, what’s her name again?) may have done so in order to speed up the cooking process & get their dishes out on time. Although they are all decent cooks, not all of the contestants went to culinary school & know specific cooking techniques.
If any summer show deserves a TV Watch it’s HK.
The girl who said about Ramsey that he’s so scary she’s going to cry…but he’s still hot, had it right on.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Ramsey. Love his “Ramseys’s Kitchen Nightmares” and love Hells Kitchen. So charasmatic…so angry….(sigh)
‘Hell’s Kitchen’ is magnificent. I love Gordon Ramsey, he’s the man. I like this show because it’s so entertaining. Gordon Ramsey may be a bit mean but he knows what he’s doing.
I will watch this show every season and continue to enjoy it.
Thanks to everyone for your helpful info. It’s a good thing that the people in my household prefer fried eggs over complicated dishes like risotto.
Awesome show, Gordon is the MAN ! I can’t wait to see is “chunky monkey man” is gonna cry again ! And please, Whitney,we need a TV Watch !
(Slow clap, now) TV Watch ! TV Watch ! TV Watch !
TV Watch! TV Watch! TV Watch!
Whitney, girl, making Risotto ain’t like making Rice-a-Roni. It’s more like holding a baby who will cry (or burn) at any moment if you stop rocking it for even a minute. So, you’re forced to continue rocking the baby for 45 minutes and then you can eat it..I mean, put the baby down. My imagery is bad, but you get the point!
I am totally pulling for the Waffle House lady, if for no other reason than to show up the other women.
Love this show; and Ramsey is AWESOME. I laugh throughout the whole show because of him. I was disappointed a little last night…not ONE donkey reference! Ha.
Whitney can write about anything. She always makes me laugh. Great job…
i was waiting for this show and it did not disappoint. ramsay is loud and hot and the contestants are egotistical and deluded. go julia and i will join the chorus of voices for a tv watch. whitney made me laugh almost as hard as the show.
