I agree with the Nigerian poster. Madonna is a no talent, lack-luster performer, who knows how to work a business. She has made a ton of money on mediocrity. She stinks!
I would not mind San so fine being my man! He is a delicous boy.
Mr. Bruno, please educate yourself before you write. While I agree that AI is over-cooked, I disagree with Blake being part of the problem. Before I commence in his defense, I should state that I am not some teenybopper with a crush. I am a geriatric (to a teenager) 35 year old female who happens to enjoy his performances greatly. Blake’s style is not reminiscent of Timberlake’s in the least. He actually reminds me of a cross between Coldplay and N.E.R.D., a fusion of alt-rock and hip-hop. Yes, he occasionally beat-boxed, but many of his performances did not include that element–”Somewhere Only We Know”, “Imagine”, “Need To Know”, “When the Stars Go Blue” come to mind–and most of the time when he did use it, it was used sparingly and to good effect e.g. “Time of the Season.” If anything, his attempt to bring AI into the 21st century is not part of the problem with the show. It is part of the solution. I would bet if Melinda had sung one Beyonce song, she would have made the final.
Roooooflmao @ Jomomma! Wow! Could you be more pretentious? Sorry, but the only person who needs to be educated is you.
Blake was not a “a cross between Coldplay and N.E.R.D., a fusion of alt-rock and hip-hop”. He was a poseur who carbon copied little known groups or acts from the mid to late 90s, yet got credit for being original because most of the viewing audience had no idea who 311 or Jamiroquai were and weren’t paying attention when breakbeat, ska, and turntablism became popular 10 years ago.
As for the whole beatboxing/ electronica thing, it couldn’t have been more played out. The resurgence of oldskool hip hop during the late 90s all but died several years ago and took electronica with it. The Fatboy Slim/ Wiseguys era is so over. So Blake was a day late and a dollar short on that deal– just not to the millions of rubes whose only contact with what’s hip and trendy in music is hearing a Dimitri from Paris single in the background of a car ad.
Sanjaya, why don’t you give Lily Allen a call? I can just imagine how hot the two of you would be together. And think of all the publicity you get by taking her out.
The fact that I’m reading this in 2008 is sad.
