EW.com Assistant Photo Producer Samantha Harmon came across this unlikely video of Sting and Bruce Springsteen performing a live duet version of the latter’s "The River." Unlikely because who’d have imagined a) that Sting could credibly interpret one of Bruce’s down-home working-class anthems, and b) that Sting would look so good rocking a ponytail? Check out the Stingspreen duet below, and let us know what you think.

Sting Rules
Bruce rules more.
Thanks for finding this, Samantha! This rocks. Sting’s ponytail is cool, but what the heck is he wearing?
Heehee…”Stingspreen”
Wasn’t Sting a public school teacher? I know that isn’t blue collar, but I don’t find it hard to believe he’d be able to identify with “working class” people.
filmed at Madison Square Garden. It was a great show.
I agree with Karoline – Sting’s ponytail isn’t so bad, but that sweater is unforgivable. I saw Bruce in concert in London last November, and Sting was in the audience – in a much better outfit, by the way.
Sorry, john, but I’m almost positive this wasn’t filmed at Madison Square Garden. It was performed as part of the Amnesty International Tour almost 20 years ago at a stadium (Giants Stadium, I believe).
sting and bruce and peter gabriel at Amnesty concert in Sao Paulo Brazil foryoubruce.com
I agree with ABW this was part of the Amnesty International tour more than 20 years ago (ouch). But it was nice seeing both artists perform together.
This was the Amnesty International Tour. Bruce joined Sting to sing Every Breath You Take. They have become close friends. Plus Sting came from a working class background in England.
went to bruce-sting concert in new delhi way back in 1988…but what a concert!!

This was filmed indeed at River Plate stadium, Buenos Aires, on the closing night of the Amnesty ´88 tour.
This is great. Sting is one of my best singers. I have all his albums and I will sure like to go see him in a concert. But i don`t think that will happen too soon, but still there are chances.
