I don’t see how anyone is going to pay 10.00 to see Spider Man! This movie is like watching a 2 hour video game.
if done well a 2 hr video game can be highly entertaining and very lucrative– just look at 300…
also- do you think that this is sam raimi’s way of saying that he’s definately gonna do the hobbit?
And to think, they both were in “The Ice Storm” (with a pre-Tom Katie Holmes)
actually, it’s even more exact than that, the spidey 3 scene is a copy of GOLEM as he falls to his death, reaching for the ring in Mt. Doom.
gollum doesnt reach for the ring as he falls into his doom. he already has it at this point and when he finally realizes he’s gonna die he holds up the ring because he would rather die than have the ring die with him.
and yea, i love the ice storm. so underrated…
Very interesting, although the consequences of losing the One Ring are a little more dire than losing MJ’s engagement rock.
Paige good piont, I went to go see 300. But I think it was more because of the half naked men than the video game aspect of it.
I’m going to see Spidey because of a love for comic books, Bruce Campbell cameos and Sam Raimi’s directing. Who needs good reviews or further plot development? The third movie in the series is usually the weakest anyway…
Sam Raimi has said in numerous interviews that he is a huge fan of Peter Jackson’s work. I guarantee it is an intentional homage.

Anyone ever notice how much Tobey and Elijah look alike? I always used to get them confused, probably because of the elfin faces, huge and strangely disturbing blue eyes, and slightly stuffy-nose-sounding voices. Is it just me?
