I’m hoping that the give away brings new fans to this fun and entertaining title. Mark and Abbey’s romance is a nice break from some of the darker books I enjoy like Powers, Runaways, etc.

They jumped up in price during the 1990′s from “kid affordable” to “who can afford to buy them”. This was also right around the same time that back issues became worthless in anything other than Near Mint condition 9.5 behind a glass case.
Comics used to be about fun, but they became about $$$ way long ago. The secret for a return to comicdom would be to lower the prices back to what kids can afford, not a free comic book once a year.
