    NOLA JOLA-
    “RATM – poseurs extraordinaire -
They “sing” about “revolution” – for $.
    END OF STORY, people!”
Nola Jola, the fact that you called RATM “poseurs extraordinaire” and “singing about revolution for $ ” is enough for me to realize that you know absolutely NOTHING about what they stand for.
Its actually sad to see somebody even make a remark like that towards one of the only bands that are the furthest away from being sell outs. it shows you know nothing about them and are completley oblivious with what’s going on with the world around you.
It sickens me to think that you truely believe their singing about revolution for $$$. I dont think you realized that you made yourself look like the absolute prime example of a ” poseur extraordinaire” by saying those remarks. I could go on and on about how stupid and senseless you are for saying that, but those words are so extreme that im not gonna bother wasting my time explaining to an ignorant poseur like yourself.

Note To Ramirez: Wow, a long winded “No, you are” comment. With fans like that, no wonder most music fans forgot RATR even broke up.

    I won’t put words in Morello’s mouth.
I will quote him at length from
Wikipedia – which of course also notes their idiotic-but-its-cool-to-be-down-with-the-revolutionary support of Mumia – the cowardly cop killer with the cool dreads that all the college hipsters are “down” with cause he’s so “revolutionary”.
    Morello states:
“America touts itself as the land of the free, but the number one freedom that you and I have is the freedom to enter into a subservient role in the workplace. Once you exercise this freedom you’ve lost all control over what you do, what is produced, and how it is produced. And in the end, the product doesn’t belong to you. The only way you can avoid bosses and jobs is if you don’t care about making a living. Which leads to the second freedom: the freedom to starve.”
That is so heavy, man . . . . like, life is just, you know, unfair, especially in Amerikkka . . . I mean you gotta work or you starve!

Rage Against Reality, i have my opinion of why they separated in the first place. i wanna know if your opinion’s close to it. cause a lot of fans have noooooo idea why or what was behind it. they just think that Zach was on bad terms with the rest of the band

i went online early this morning to start looking for news about the rage show. this blog was the closest thing to what i was looking for – a play-by-play from someone who was completely effing excited.
i went online minutes before the rock the bells tickets went onsale, and – amazingly, given my failures the numerous other times i’ve attempted this – got tickets. i’m psyched.
it’s sad that every RATM message board gets swamped with people lining up to call rage posers, limousine radicals, or whatever. what have YOU done for the proletariat lately?

  • The “proletariat” yawns

Wow, someone used the word “proletariat” unironically. Clearly your dogma, like RATR’s is from the 60′s. Is your IQ stuck in the mid 60′s, too?
I wish EW had covered The Good, The Bad and The Queen and NOT some lame 90′s rap metal nostalgia act.

I didn’t watch Rage, but I wholeheartedly agree with you about the fried artichoke hearts. Even worse were the shrimp stuffed artichokes.

  • Yawni

So Sam is upset about the 60′s but okay with the lame 90′s rap metal nostalgia remark?
Today I helped the proletariat by calling them morons for not voting for Democrats and reminding them that they’re stupid for not buying Morello’s flopped solo CD.

OH I WAS IN THE S**T, and there was definitely crowd surfing going on. In fact, its by far the best way to get from the back of the crowd to the front if you weigh under 200 lbs. As usual for a west coast show, etiquette in the pit was superb. There were 5 people to pick up anyone who fell, and no sucker punches were thrown in the fray. I even got dumped over the center rail and got to watch unabated from 10 feet away, while I pretended to be with a film crew. What seemed like 5 minutes later, one of the hundred or so security guards on deck noticed I was drenched in sweat as was everyone in the crowd, and spit me down the gauntlet to side of the stage, jumping, head banging, and screaming the whole way. Long as you got quick feet, YOUR NEVER TOO OLD TO MOSH! RAGE, I LOVE YOU!

I LOVED their performance – but did anyone else get the feeling that Zack wasen’t 100% into it? I hate to critisize the return of one of my favorite bands of ALL TIME – but I noticed he hardly screamed at all… at most parts where he used to pour his heart out into the microphone, he was pulling it away or letting the crowd fill in. I really can only remember one verse during their opening song in which he fully used his vocal cords. Otherwise, he was focusing much more on the pronunciation and literation. And on a few guitar parts that would normally melt the face off anyone within hearing distance, Tom seemed to tone it down a bit!
It appears to me that the influences of their side careers have affected this reunion of theirs. I really hope this doesn’t cause any problems with their future appearances.

Check out this video of Rage performing at Coachella, it’s only 3 songs but it’s the best of the videos I’ve seen so far.

I think that a lot of people are just generally picking faults because they don’t have the guts to get up there themselves and even attempt to make a change.
I do not agree with the odd non-comparison of Rage to Dead Kennedys, however. Look at what happened to Biafra.
    LAW SUIT.
Music is somewhat lacklustre in passion, but it can still kick up a fuss… right guys?

ahhh so glad to see that someone else thinks that RATM concert is the best day of his life. Just seen them in Modena, Italy recently and it can’t be put in words. ‘Religious-fantic-meets-God’ kind of feeling. and now i just want more, more, more..
