I really don’t think at this point it would be feasible to push up a worldwide release date for something set to come out in a week anyways. The theaters would have to shore up staff numbers for the extra night(s) of crazy, not to mention the last-minute publicity blitz that would have to be rolled out to tell everyone “Just kidding! It comes out TOMORROW!” The confusion would probably end up hurting the movie.
My best friend’s dad bought the tickets a few days ago…we bought them because, well, these things have been selling really quickly and, yeah, we’re just nerds. So yeah.
I have a choice between an 8 pm showing of POTC3 or a midnight. Which showing is going to draw the uber-fan crowd? The ‘first’ showing aka 8 pm or the traditional midnight? I can’t decide which to get tix for…
