How about this: David Fincher helms a political thriller starring the cast of the real Greatest Movie of All Time… The Terminator? Especially since The Governator himself has actually turned politico, Linda Hamilton has never had another great role, Michael Biehn (always vastly underrated in my book) has almost completely dropped off the planet, and Lance Henriksen just needs something to do. Throw in Bill Paxton (also underrated) and Rick Rossovich (just for the hell of it), although, sadly, not the late Paul Winfield, and you got yourself a movie.
Of course, what would be REALLY great is if the cast were expanded to include T2: certainly Ed Furlong and Robert Patrick need the money, Joe Morton & S. Epatha Merkerson are always high-quality, and Jeanette Goldstein deserves a role as a tough-as-nails D.A. or something.
Just a thought.

I’m surprised this one hasn’t been mentioned yet.
Sean Penn, Forrest Whitaker, Nicolas Cage, Eric Roberts, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Phoebe Cates, Judge Reinhold, need I go on?
I have absolutley no desire in seeing them reprise their roles to make “Reunion at Ridgemont High.” But who wouldn’t want to see this cast in something like a gritty psych thriller?

I’d love to see the cast of “Heat” reunite: Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro, Jon Voight, Val Kilmer, Tom Sizemore, Ted Levine, William Fichtner and Danny Trejo–either in a role-reversal crime caper (all the actors who played good guys in “Heat” are now the bad guys, and vice versa), or a Ron Shelton tough-guy comedy. Most of these guys can be very funny when they want to be.
