I am a huge Shia fan. I think he has loads of charisma (even on Even Stevens when he is 14 or so) Just watched A Guide to Recognizing your Saints and loved his performance. Also, I think this weekend’s box office speaks volumes about Shia’s fanbase. Those numbers don’t lie.

it makes me more eager to see it. Shia was outstanding in Disturbia and A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints, so him in the Indy movie should be a good thing.

Who said there wouldn’t be any Nazi’s? Indiana Jones movies weren’t filmed during WWII. Why wouldn’t Spielberg include the nazi’s in this one?

I WANT TO AUDITION AGAINST SHIA! I’m a British actor but i’ve only done theatre. I never knew about the part until it was too late, anyway I want to audition against him to see who is better!

I’m not sure about this movie but I am willing to say that I’ll give it a shot. I’m one of those people that if I even so much have an inkling of wanting to see something, I will, and this interests me only so much as I like the previous movies and I want to see how well Speilburg and Lucas can pull this off without getting all angsty, angry, and over all overly dramatic and gloomy. We go to the movies to escape, not to be pulled down and drowned in the reality that is our everyday life existence. Make it funny like the others, make it heart stopping with some of the action, make it to where you actually cheer when the good guys win, and I think it’ll be okay.
…..who the hell are the bad guys gonna be? It better not be Russia. I mean, that country has been overused during the cold war. We had other enemies back then! Why not Cuba?

I used to really like Even Stevens. Thought Labeouf was funny. And I love love love Indy, but I think Shia was a lousy choice. Maybe his people have something over Spielberg.
I saw Labeouf in an interview where he was just so arrogant and insulting to the interviewer. Labeouf strutted, looking everywhere except at the person he was talking to. When the interviewer told him the Even Stevens movie was his favourite movie, Labeouf told him “whoa, aren’t you like 28 or something, time to grow up” or some crap like that. Last I heard, a person is allowed, at any age, to enjoy whatever entertainment he/she likes. It’s hard for me to enjoy a movie when I know an actor to be a jerk, it ruins the movie and the effect for me. Joseph Gordon Levitt would have been a much better choice.
Labeouf is going to ruin his career with his arrogance, and he bloody well better not ruin Indy 4. His presence in the movie sadly makes me not look forward to it.

    As an old Indy fan,
no, I did not like Shia as his son, think he is a bad chose…
And yes, I will watch the movie but this time it seems to be all different..

omg!! i think that shia was an amazing choice for the role of indys son. just like harrison ford way back when the first few indy movies came out, shia has potential, looks, mucsle, and a great actor. i loved the indy movies but this is a huge, amazing, step up for the indy seiries. i think that he should be the next indiana jones in an indy sequal which i hope that they make.
