I love Jim and I love the doors as a whole. I remember when I first saw that picture with his hands breaking through and I was like “Whoa… Who is that?” Later someone introduced me to The End and ever since then I can’t live without him. HIs lyrics along with the melodies moved in such a way I can’t even explain it. I hated rock at the time and only listened to rap. The Doors completely changed my view on music. My life is a Crystal ship. Jim literally lit my fire. May the Lizard King rest in peace.

Jim definitely has a legacy! Have you heard of his son Cliff Morrison? I hear him and his band are awesome and he sounds exactly like Jim! There is a living legend if you know what I mean. I hear Cliff is playing at a charity event in San Pedro California on 6/27. Does anyone know how much tickets are? I would really love to go!

Jim Morrison has not only earned his place in the sun with the greats – he was the greatest! 100% straight up artist who combined his musical talents with rock theater. There has never been and will never be another LA rock band who can compare with The Doors.
If you think of the three most influential musicians from the 60′s, he fits right in there….Lennon, Dylan, Morrison
As for pardoning his “Miami crime,” I don’t know, but I’m absolutely certain that Morrison would have loved all the controversy surrounding this. After all, he’s been gone almost 37 years and he’s still creating a fuss!

No one had, or has a baritone voice like Jim Had in all of Rock’s history. He is not overrated. He earned his place with the great ones. Yes, he was high plenty of times, and I do wish he had gotten control of his demons;this is the reason he is no longer with us. I love him still. Moonlight drive, Riders on the storm, When the musics over, Touch me, Hello I love you, and Winter time love are my favorites.
The legal fiasco is just stupid. Leave his memory alone.
