I am so excited for this movie!!! Just this past spring it was my senior year in high school, and my drama club and I performed an adapted version of the show Get smart. So I’m really excited about seeing it!!! And I love Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway, so that’s a bonus!!!

I too fell in love with Get Smart during Nick at Nite reruns (F-Troop was my second fav). I’m totally excited about the Get Smart remake, probably because Alan Arkin is playing Chief – I love it! I think Will Ferrell would be a better Siegfried though.

Carell is the only man who can pull off Don Adams because he looks like him. But Carl Riner and Mel Brooks were the brains behind the jokes. I just hope that Get Smart won’t be as dumb as the Pink Panther remake.

I love both actors and will go see it if the movie reviews well. If it reviews poorly, I’ll see it on HBO. BTW, Hathaway’s fantastic in the suprisingly good “Princess Diaries”.
Are they filming this in DC? CRAP! Every time the studios film here, the city closes the only motorcycle parking spots in Downtown and my Vespa has to get parked illegally.

I’m holding out hope because of Carell’s involvement, but they usually play up the kitsch in these tv show to movie adaptations.

If there is one person who could pull this off, it’s Steve Carrell. I cannot imagine this being more perfect and I think Anne Hathaway will make a great partner for him in this movie.
I wish it was coming out sooner!!

So excited! As a kid I would make sure I was parked in front of Nick at Nite (I’m a child of the 80′s, my friends were watching Family Ties and Full House) at 8pm sharp to watch my favorite show, Get Smart. I am very happy with the choice of Steve Carell. Anyone know when they’re filming in D.C.? This would be a great one to be an extra in!
