This is odd: Per Wikipedia, Peaches and Karen O got together and did a track for the Jackass 2 soundtrack. Maybe Karen O heard some Peaches and decided to follow suit?

Agreed with Tom that Lovertits and F*ck the Pain away are both really catchy, but the rest of the album feels like a lame attempt to rehash the Lords of Acid. Still, F*ck the pain away was good enough to be in “Lost in Translation” AND “With my Little Eye”.
Agreed that the “woman as sex goddess” theme reached a peak (pardon the pun) years ago, when the Herbalizer did “the Sensual Woman”.
Still, it’s hard to oppose a song that preaches promiscuity from a female’s perspective…
Oh, and Tom, I totally LOVE the idea of an MST3k for “classic” porn. Something like that could be done on HBO or Skinemax, if the really naughty bits are taken out. It worked for Flesh Gordon anyway…

I thought a couple of her songs were decent, Lovertits and F**k the Pain Away, but over the course of an entire album it just becomes grating.

A bit odd, but wholly enjoyable and funky. Karen O is absolutely my favorite performer. And Show Your Bones is the more inventive and euphoric set of tracks of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs collection. Not necessarily the topic, but I’ll definitely defend my favorite music any day of the week.
