Hey, Dancing fans! We decided two TV Watches per week would be almost as ridiculous as having a Jimmy Kimmel segment during the results show, so we’re just not gonna go there. Hence, this blog item! Last night, Paulina Porizkova, 1980s supermodel, Cars video girl, and longtime DWTS superfan, was eliminated first. Boo! Even though she was slightly better at backwards wall-scribbling than ballroom dancing, I wanted her to stick around a while just because she was so good-natured and funny. What about you? Are you happy with the results, or do you wish someone else like Shandi, Billy Ray, or Heather had gotten the boot?

I am so dissappointed in Paulina going home. She is so sweet and funny..she would have been a joy to watch all the way. And no one could dance worse than Billy Ray or Leeza…no one
I was so bummed that Paulina got sent home…she was way better than Shandi and Billy Ray and Clyde, at the very least…plus I thought she was funny and adorable. The voting on this show makes me a little crazy! Oh well….go Laila and Apolo!
I think Shandi should have gone home first. Her personality is annoying and she is so stiff.

Paulina should’ve stayed. Shandi needed to go. She hardly even moved around for her Mambo. Her frozen partner did all the work with the fancy choreography. Paulina’s mambo wasn’t fantastic but at least she moved around the floor.
I’m just glad Cliff Claven is still here.
I am so bummed–Paulina was funny and Alec was HOT. Shandi should have gone–both weeks she was lame. Billy Ray was horrible last week but much improved this week so I figured he could stay. Leeza G. would have been the other choice but how could you send her home on her B-day? Heather is surprising me and as always, there are 2 sides to every story. Love Paul McCartney (even though John was my fav-RIP brother)but just b/c he was a Beatle and beloved d/n make him a saint. Divorce is sucky and I think people have villified her. Who doesn’t have some risque pictures in their past when you’re a model/actress (which she was until her accident)? I’ve got a few meself…they’ll remind me of how hot I was in my 20’s when I’m 80 and wrinkled!
The whole “keep the untalented professional athlete around” shtick (Evander Holyfield, Jerry Rice and now Clyde Drexler) is going to wear thin with me pretty quickly.
I wish they’d just pick folks who actually show some facility for dance rather than have them ride by week after week because of the same voting public keeping Sanjaya on American Iodl.
Either Shandi or Billy Ray (yes, he improved, but he’s way out of his league here–and the caveman haircut doesn’t help) should have been sent home. Plus, Shandi’s partner–who seems preternaturally perky and intent on upstaging her at every opportunity–isn’t helping matters.
As soon as Paulina was placed in the bottom two, I had a feeling she would be joined by Shandi. This vote said more about who watches the show than anything else. And who watches the show is picked-on nerds who are still afraid of the good-looking people.
yea paulina shouldnt have been the first… shouldve been leeza or shandi or clyde or billy ray… they all suck and i cant wait till they all get eliminated…
btw- is it me or does apolo look like the late jonathon brandis with fake teeth?

First, I’d like to say that I enjoyed the TV Watch on DWTS… please bring it back; the articles are so funny!
Now, on to business at hand- I hate that Paulina is gone; she definitely had room for improvement. Unlike ShandiBarb- I’m sorry but she has what we call BAD FEET. Even her waxlike, showoff partner can’t fix that! She’s cute, but no “Happy Feet” awards will she claim. And, Billy Ray-what can you really say? He did 300 times better this week, but with the JIVE coming up…Maybe he’ll get lukcy and get the TANGO.
I think Laila is awesome- she and Maks are fun to watch. Same goes for Julianne adn Apolo. The season is starting slow as far as the talent this time, but I think it’s going to keep getting better.
I think they’re still going to have a TV Watch after the regular episodes, just not after the results.
As soon as Billy Ray wasn’t in the bottom 2 I decided that this season was over for me. I have tried to give this show a chance, but the reality is that it’s a popularity contest above and beyond anything else. The “judges” intentionally give scores to create ties or to make things interesting and I have no respect for any of them. I know most reality shows are the furthest thing from reality, but this one (to me) is just lame. It doesn’t even try to pretend to be anything other than what it is – a supposed dancing contest to prove which C-list “celebrity” (or “star”) has the most fans that will call in each week. And frankly, I don’t have the time for that.

I was disappointed that Paulina and Alec had to go. She was way more enjoyable to watch than the other one. ArgH!
I’m mad at myself for not voting for Paulina. She wasn’t the best dancer, but I loved her goofy, dopey sweet personality. I totally didn’t expect that from a supermodel. Shandi and her partner kind of make me uncomfortable. They definitely should have been the first to go.
This is the first season I ever watched any of this show and the first thing that happens is that my favorite goes home immediately.
This was undeserved totally. She was not the best, to be sure and would not have won, but surely should have lasted a couple of more weeks or so. It’s sayonara for me.

Tired once again of the untalented/gawky/awkward athlete sticking around, and I include Emmit Smith in that category, not a fan. The basketball player should have been the first to go.

I’m so upset – I loved Paulina’s goofiness, she was much more entertaining than Shandi. Speaking of, I think Shandi could be better if she didn’t have Waxman (as we call him in my house) as a partner. He really does seem like a doll – no oomph, no personality, just…. snore.
Bring Paulina back!
This is the exact reason why I stopped watching last season (after Vivica and Willa were eliminated). At least Paulina has a personality and was enjoyable to watch (unlike the awful Billy Ray). What a waste.
And can someone tell me why all the media hate for Heather? It can’t be her striking resemblance to Felicity Huffman. If it’s because of her marriage break up, who cares. That’s their business. In regards to DWTS, she was amazing this week (didn’t see her last week).
arrggh.. Im really hoping DWTS will say Sammie bungled the results or something because I DID NOT want Paulina & the really sexy to leave. I have no more eye candy & classy preserved supermodel couple to root for!

Clyde or Shandi should have gone home before Paulina. Clyde is so awkwardly lanky and Shandi is so plastic with the perma-smile! And of course I would have been thrilled if the evil gold digger got sent back to England…but she does dance better than any of the aforementioned.
I stopped watching dancing with the stars in season 1 because star were eliminated when they should not have been. Skipped season 2. Watched Season 3 and tried to ignore when the wrong people were kept in ie. jerry and sarah. So started watching season 4 and Paulina goes obviously this show often is not about dancing… how sad because dancing is a treasure. I don’t care about a persons popularity only about what they accomplish dancing and the evictions especially in the first 5 to 6 weeks do not reflect this how sad.
The only one that needs to go right now is Samantha Harris, Her voice is annoying and she stumbles over her words.
Shandi’s partner lost me the first time I saw the cast picture. Last time I saw eyebrows like that was my 8th grade English teacher…and she DREW hers in! THEN…on the first episode,the very first words out of his moth were “…and I am just so hot out on the dance floor”
Oy…It’s called humilty boy…Get some!
Heather’s face just looks horsey to me.
Shandi can stay,but get rid of her partner, the self-proclaimed “young, hot one”. He is really creepy, in a Stephen-King-maniacal-character way.
