Ratings come and go, but megalomania and self-delusion are forever. Last night on The Apprentice, which you’re probably not watching anymore, Donald Trump was giving his wannabes their latest assignment at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood. "They should put my footprints outside," he told the troops. "I’m a bigger star than anybody. I have the No. 1 show on television." (His declaration inspired EW.com’s Apprentice TV Watch columnist Whitney Pastorek to anoint herself the "No. 1 Writer on the Internets.") For the record, The Apprentice came in 44th out of 97 network broadcasts monitored by Nielsen last week; it’s ranked 89th out of 197 series so far this season. These days, if The Donald wants to draw a crowd outside Grauman’s, he’ll probably have to offer to leave his hairprint.

I stopped wathcing the Apprentice a few seasons ago, I just coudn’t handle Trump. He is crazy and delusional.
I saw a show about this once I think it was 20/20 or something where they basically shot down a bunch of his claims. He also calls himself the biggest real estate developer in New York, but actually most of the properties he is part of are developed by various business groups that he owns a small percentage of. And most of the times these groups just bring Trump in so they can put his name on the building.

The craziest thing is Trump has going on about having the #1 show on TV for years, and even when it was at its most popular I don’t think The Apprentice was the #1 show on TV. Maybe he means it is the #1 Apprentice based show on TV, with the Martha one being #2.

I work in an industry that allows me to be in close contact with some of the richest people on the planet, and all the Billionaires I know, keep a very low profile… the last thing they want is for their real net worth to be exposed – that is because they all have very sensitive fiscal and corporate issues. All of them have very complicated tax and inheritance structures often offshore and it would be very detrimental for them to expose their real net worth nor they would seek to have thier own TV show.
Mr. Trump’s behavior is the one of a typical megalomaniac whose net worth to my belief is far from what he claims. Just the mire fact that he sues people because of a book that claims he is not a billioniare, or that he gets upset when the media publishes something other than what he claims his real net worth is – it means he is a “Wanna Be”.
A REAL Billionaire keeps his mouth shut and tries not to attract attention – To the Contrary Mr. Trump is constantly seeking attention.
