You might remember when I offered up a photo of Rod Stewart in a tankini months ago, to the dismay of many of you. Read the full post.

That was yesterday…….! Blah, blah blah.
All right, I’ll bite. What was yesterday? The first day of spring? The day the new Modest Mouse album dropped? The day I rassled a unicorn?
I JUST got that “picnic in the grass” reference. Is that painting in the Louvre or Musee D’Orsay?
And just like Idol was on the money last night, the comments section has been ON FIRE these last few days! Furry_Tom and DaisyJ, you guys are both brilliant and have made me laugh out loud enough times to make my boss come by and ask what I’m doing….
re: if John Stamos ever gets to f*** the Olsen Twins … I wonder if he will make them call him “Uncle Jesse” ?
Maybe. When Denver Pyle f***ed Catherine Bach, he made her call him “Uncle Jessie”.
That one was a little more obscure. I’ll give you all a minute or so before it hits you.
Tom, how did you fare against that unicorn? Because he broke one off in my ass, no pun intended…
RE: fare against that unicorn
Not well, the ref disqualified me for punching the unicorn in the face.
RE: Louvre or Musee D’Orsay
It’s in the Musée d’Orsay. I didn’t know that off the top of my head though, I had to find it on Wikipedia. Also, they call it “Luncheon on the Grass” but I’m guessing it’s just a matter of translation. I wouldn’t know, I took 4 years of German, and that has paid off in spades.
Thanks guys, and right back atcha. I didn’t know where the painting was either, but I do know that the actual name is “Le Déjeuner sur l’Herbe”, because I looked it up. And that does translate literally to “lunch” (hey, look– two years of high school french are finally paying off!). But I’ve heard it both ways. (By the way, EP, how do you get accent marks in a comment? I can only manage it by copying and pasting.)
And tom, don’t forget: the next time you wrestle a unicorn, go for the eyes.
Ep Sato– Actually, he played the uncle. (What, I had a huge crush on him in my pre-teen days)
Well, at least your knowledge of French is functional. I think the extent of my German by be that I can say “chicken salad sandwich.” Not helpful if I’m stuck in Düsseldorf and need to find an embassy.
And since Ep didn’t get back to you about using special characters… you can make those by holding down the Alt key and typing in a 3-4 digit code. Like if I wanted to trademark my internet handle, furry_tom™, I’d use Alt – 0153. Here’s a link to a pdf of the chart that I use in my office.
