Hoe-lah, PopWatchers! Ruth Pointer of the Pointer Sisters turns 61 today. And since it appears a merry prankster has messed with her Wikipedia page — inserting some less-than-respectful variations on the Pointer songbook — I thought it would be nice to honor the b’day celebrant through the ancient art of haiku.

I LOVE “automatic”! It’s one of my favorite 80’s tracks of all time and have wonderful memories associated with that song! Popwatch genie, this time you granted a wish without me even asking for anything. YOU RULE!
what an awful video. I don’t think i’ve ever seen it before. But I do have fun memories of my first time going to a gay bar.I was 16yrs old and unfortunately the video does reflect the look tat was going around in those bars at that time.
