Since Dancing With the Stars‘ fourth season kicks off tonight at 8 p.m. EDT (our resident expert Annie Barrett is already experiencing a mild case of the vapors in nervous anticipation of her weekly TV Watch), and seeing that we have yet to witness any of the eleven C-listers hoofing, I thought it might be good fun to put our early picks down — right here, right now — then check back after the season finale and see who gets bragging rights. Now mind you, I might be biased in thinking a woman is going to prevail this year — after all, I’m in the camp that says Lisa Rinna got robbed of her rightful season-2 crown — but last year’s Mario-Joey-Emmitt was awfully boy-centric, no? That’s why my money’s on Laila Ali. Think about it: As a professional athlete, she ought to hold up to dance training better than. say, former beauty-pageant queens or 90210 stars, and as a boxer, she’s got to have some footwork skills in her corner. Plus, she’s paired with hypnotically handsome Maksim Chmerkovskiy — yes, I kind of heart him; yes, these feelings are a source of deep shame; and no, I am not issuing a retraction — which makes Ms. Ali the one to beat! I’m gonna go with Joey Fatone. Not only does he have a dancing history, but he’s got a winning personality that people will fall in love with and a built-in crazed fanbase from his *NSYNC and broadway days. He’s got it in the bag.

Maksim-love is a pure and noble thing. Stand proud, Michael! He has been the only reason I’ve watched the past three seasons. And he may finally have a shot with this partner, woohoo!
I pretty much LOVED everyone except Shandi Finnesy and to a small extent, the Fat One just because he was so good. Oh how I wish Billly Ray Cyrus stays on for awhile to provide more entertainment and Leeza blossoms before our very eyes.
As for Laila, she’s the best thing that ever happened to Max. Only person I’d rather see her with is the equally pompous (in the way you love to hate) Tony Dovolani, just for the sheer butting of heads.
I think the ones that will be great in the near future are-Heather,Shandi and Apollo.Shandi is pretty I do not care what anyone has to say.If you say she is ugly your jealous. I know looks has nothing to do with how she dances but I am just stating a fact.Ok so her one dance was not extremely good but lets see oh yes Billy Ray can NOT dance and neither can Clyde!Please everyone quit picking people that SUCK such as Emmitt Smith and pick someone that can actually dance.Afterall it is a dance competition not a popularity contest!
Laila and Apolo should be the final two, hands down!! Neither one of them had dance experience, yet they have both been fantastic! Joey has also been fun to watch, but he is a dancer, so that does not seem fair, As for IAN, not only has he been stiff the whole time, there is NO CHEMISTRY between he and Cheryl. They must go! Laila, Apolo and Joey have earned the right to be the top 3. Goodbye Ian.
