I just heard what could be the WORST duet of 2007. Beyonce & Shakira have nothin to worry about! Go to AOl Music’s NEW SONGS and listen to the first single off Meatloaf’s new cd, “BAT OUT OF HELL III”. “THE FUTURE” features none other than Acamedy award winner JENNIFER HUDSON! Its a very grande rock-opera-esque track that you’d expect from Meatloaf, only, J.Hud…SERIOUSLY? I can’t see any radio stations supporting this track…it truly fits in no popular genre I can define it as. Good luck…

Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp’s “Leave the Pieces” is much better. I agree with Fatima, I miss Slezak a lot — I’m actually looking forward to his snap judgment of Christina’s “Candyman” but I don’t think there will ever be one because the video has premiered days ago. At any rate, Shakira is fabolous as always and Beyonce? Well, Beyonce is just a guilty pleasure.
I’m hoping that after this album is done, Beyonce takes a couple of years off – I’m sick of her.

She did the song from the Dream Girls soundtrack, Invisible (?) Irriplaceable, off her own album and now a duet! She’s the first ADHD songstress I’ve seen do 20 things at once.

This is boring and worst of all VERY CONTRIVED. It’s just a push for Beyonce’s album which is being “re-released” for the 8th time, so it can finally make platinum ststus.
Wake up people-it is a gimmick and nothing more. I’m so bored with the this lack of artistic integrity that these so-called artist are “creating” nowadays!!!
Yep, well all miss Slezak people…unfortunately we have to accept that once American Idol comes on, he goes in that AI cocoon for about 5 months, occasionally coming up for air to talk about Ugly Betty.
My apologies to Slezak, but, “B’day” was one of the most overrated and, well, stupid, albums of last year. The only reason Beyonce is rereleasing it is because of this fact. The album was too short (my brother farts longer than the count time on this album), and half the songs were skippable. While “Irreplaceable” was arguably her best song ever, it was on a album that most certainly wasn’t. This rerelease better give me something, or Miss B will need to B-eeze the block and go home for awhile and not come back until she has something worth sharing. I still can’t believe she got a Grammy for hiccuping in a mic. Oh, wait, hiccups last longer than the run time on this album. My bad.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Huey Lewis get my vote for worst pairing ever. It’s creepy and bad. I cringe every time I hear it.
I agree that Beyonce needs to take some time off. I don’t hate her but she is ridiculously overexposed.
Beyonce is about where Madonna was c. ’90 or Mariah ’95 or whatever. Go away. Stay away.

Who is managing Beyonce or is she managing herself. This looks like an aerobics video. It’s obvious they’re both using each other to cross-culture connect. All we need now is for Bey to record a Spanish album. And how come JLo didn’t think of this? Just seems like Bey is doing more award shows and videos than the hard work which is touring in front of thousands of people as a solo artist. Shakira tours ALL the time, so she’s a bit more of a pro than Beyonce.
Hands down sexiest video in this year. Mark my words this will be a hit. But I am assuming my demographic is different of a lot of the EW community, what with the hateration and all.
If you think the duet is bad, try to translate the parts that beyonce “whispers” in Spanish.. it’s so ludacris makes me laugh everytime. I can’t denny that i hear the song it’s gonna grow on me… but the Video.. No matter how much i love Shakira and Repect Beyoce, all i can say is porqueeee? (that’s Why?)
