Anna Nicole Smith's screen swan song

Aliens_l_1The date for Anna Nicole’s final entertainment opus has been set: May 22. That’s when her last movie, Illegal Aliens, will hit stores as a direct-to-DVD release from MTI Home Video, PopWatch has learned exclusively. Check out the trailer here.

Anna Nicole (pictured, with co-star Patrick Burleigh) plays an alien who’s charged with saving the Earth. The campy sci-fi/horror flick also stars Joanie Laurer (a.k.a. former wrestler Chyna), who appeared on Larry King Live last week to talk about the fallen star. According to a rep for the film’s producers, Edgewood Studios, "It’s a send up to all the bad B-movies that everyone loves to hate. It’s Charlie’s Angels gone sci-fi with a touch of Men in Black."

Really, it looks nothing like either of those movies (although, along with Smith’s Lucy, the other two heroines are named Drew and Cameron.) Still, mark your calendars now.

well go on and show her her movie. Maybe she will make more money the everybody else wants. The money she makes from thie movie should go to one of the three following: her mother, her daughter or charity? What do you think? Let me know at tcbtlb@yahoo.com

Everything about that movie screams amateur, from the wacky, 80′s-style announcer voice to the shrill acting and bad directing (was it necessary to have two extreme close-ups on the suppository joke?). It would probably be better to remember her by watching Naked Gun 33 1/3, or her five second cameo in Hudsucker Proxy than by wasting your time with this.

How soon will that be shown on Cinemax late night? Come on!

You should see the cover story in this weekend’s edition of The Sunday Paper – http://www.sundaypaper.com. They take a stab at who should play the roles in the inevitable screen version of Anna Nicole’s life.

This movie is hysterical – seriously funny – I saw a special screening last year and laughed so much I fell out of my chair. I think America’s going to be shocked at how funny she can be – expecially poking fun at herself and our society! so sad she’s not here to enjoy all of this attention.
