One of my guy friends actually loves Hugh Grand flicks.. Music and Lyrics, Love Actually and 4 Weddings and a funeral are his favorite… now if I only manage to get the last movie’s dvd copy back.. *sigh*
“Love Actually” is a film I have not seen. After reading these posts I am going to rent it.
My gender is male and I also do enjoy romance films. Come See the Paradise is one of my favorite films. As others have stated, the enjoyment stems from the quality of the film and not based on a gender selected audience. The interaction between the characters I found was very interesting in Come See the Paradise. Its storyline was very good (in my opinion).
A male friend of mine that recommends films to me frequently, usually martial art and anime films, recommended a film called Keith. I have not seen the film yet but its storyline is a love story.
During my life’s conversations I do not recall a male denying any enjoyment from romantic films except for one.
Also, I am not sure exactly what makes a film a “chick-flick”. The one film I have seen that Samantha mentioned is “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants”. The movie was pointless and most likely does not need to exist; though I did not mind seeing it once. Also I chose to watch that film alone, without a third party’s opinion on what film we should watch.
