Kudos for Christina on Candyman, but it sure does sound to me like a rip-off of The Andrew Sisters hit Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. Love it anyway
I may be a bit behind the times but I just heard “Candyman” on the radio the other day and thought it was a remake of Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. It is almost identical. I’m surprised that she hasn’t been sued by the Andrews Sisters yet!
I haven’t heard “Candyman” yet but if it does sound like a re- make of Boogy Woogy Bugle Boy SO WHAT! Everyone knows nowadays almost every song that comes on the radio sounds like a song from “yesterday.” All artists sample form songs on the past. It’s nothing knew. So I say “sing your songs and get your money Christina!” You’re REAL fans will continue to support you!
I endured this pathetic song endlessly in Baghdad as the music video channel in one of the coffee shops was always playing it.
Let’s see.. Take “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”…and then chop the riffs 2/3 of the way through
