Marci:
As for women Nancy Wilson’s acustic intro on “Crazy on You” is pretty cool as was Howard Lesse’s electric guitar solo.
I can’t believe that they forgot Mark Dodsworth on ELO’s “Fire On High”? And two of my favorite Alex Lifeson solos are: “Limelight” and “Red Sector A”
Road Bone by Willy Porter is a nifty piece of guitar work…Robben Ford doing Rainy Day, Dream Away…Rosie Flores’ Rosebud Blues
How many sour notes can Richie Blackmore Hit…never thought he was anything but mediocre.
Not one by Vinnie Moore? At least one song from his Mind’s Eye album should have been on there. The guy has it all when it comes to playing.
I don’t respect any list that doesn’t include Neil Young’s Like a Hurricane. It might not be as technically proficient as others or not as fast or even not as complicated on paper, but it is transcendent in its passion and sorrow.
James Gang Funk 49
Robert Fripps solo on Enos “Babys on Fire” will melt the paint off your walls!
