You know, the Schienker brothers are two of the most amazing, yet underrated guitarists on this planet. It’s a shame.
Happy Boxing Day, Slezak. You rock!
First, offtopic: Happy New Year, Michael (Slezak)! I can think of (almost) no on else (on earth) whose (random) RSS feeds show up (on my computer) and thrill (and excite) me with just joy (and zest)!
Now, ON TOPIC: Boxing Day. OK, I did mention one of the topics.
Love Ya (Man),
Rich(ard)
PS… I want EW to give you more to do, Mate. Michael, I never even knew who you were until you started doing the Heroes Popwatches. And I was one of the many who begged that you do a Heroes TV Watch. And while the current Heroes TV Popwatcher is find and dandy, I was most disappointed that you did not get that job, because my man, you did have a clear handle on that show. I was mildly disappointed.
But then I noticed that you were devoted to covering Ugly Betty and The Bachelor. These shows are both OK for certain people. And you don’t know how much I already regret what I’m about to type. So why, Michael, as a Gay Man, are/were you assigned to cover the two most nelly queen shows on TV at the same time? And why were you passed over for a Heroes TV Popwatch?
There, I have said it. Now everyone can hate me if they choose. Especially your co-worker who has done justice to the Heroes TV Popwatch.
So, Slezak, you know you are always welcome at my beach house (I’ll even rent one!). But please, take on some challenges at EW that portray you as other than a gay man on the payroll. You can do much more than this.
