I like the way bunnies do it: faster. And since I don’t really have time to go through everything featured on The Christmas Spot, I’ll be getting my quick holiday movie fix at the Bunny Club.
There are three Christmas parodies in the Angry Alien canon of 30-second bunny theater shorts: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, and my favorite, It’s a Wonderful Life (pictured). It’s like the Cliff’s Notes for Christmas movies, except the bunnies re-enacting the stories have inhaled helium balloons and are spinning really fast. You do get a good synopsis of the films, though, so if you need to front like you love Christmas and the movies that come with it, do it bunny-style.

Those parodies were terrific!
Um. Isn’t a parody, by definition, supposed to be… y’know… funny?
those things are hilarious! i’m at that website all the time! i’m glad they keep adding to their repertoire.
My favorite is “A Christmas Story,” cuz he’s a bunny dressed up as a pink bunny!!!
Jack, it’s not necessarily a parody. It is, as they define it, a film condensed to thirty seconds and re-enacted by bunnies. A funny premise by itself.
Their “Brokeback Mountain” is hilarious, and I’m told by people who saw the film that they hit all the major plot points and got out in 30 seconds. Their “Caddyshack” was pretty great too.
The bunnies are great. The “Star Wars” re-enactment may have made me cry from laughing so much.
My favorite bunny short is still Reservoir Dogs. Make sure you listen to the unbleeped version – it’s twice as funny.
While you’re at the angry alien website, check out the hilarious “Amy’s Diary.” She’s animated her third grade diary, with a variety of adults doing the readings. Strange and wonderful, and way better than the bunnies.
