If you, like me, had forgotten how much you love you some Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas), behold the new Shrek the Third trailer. (The film opens next May 18.) Then, rewind Puss’ nasty meow and sad, sad eyes multiple times. Become surprised at how enraged you’d be if Eddie Murphy’s Donkey voice actually came out of that sweet, booted body for more than a scene. Remember fondly how you dragged your friends to see a sneak peek of Antonio’s Take the Lead. Wonder why Rupert Everett (the silk-tongued Prince Charming) doesn’t get more work. And finally, have no idea whether or not you’re disappointed that you didn’t get more than a peek at Justin Timberlake’s new character, Artie, a teen version of King Arthur.

As much as I did not care for the second one, I must say this trailer shows great potential for the third.
Much MUCH better than the “trailer” they gave you on the Ice Age 2 DVD, which wasn’t even a trailer at all, just clips from the first two movies! Antonio & Rupert are awesome. And I love the Mini-Me/Dr. Evil thing that Pinocchio and Gingy have going on!
I cannot wait for this movie (as well as all the other “thirds”) coming out next summer. If the trailer’s any indication, the movie itself should be great!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, looks fine and all, but did they HAVE to go with the vomit gag? It looks SO “Deck the Halls”. (Camel vomit on Matthew Broderick, anyone?)
Has anyone seen the new Shrek the 3rd TV spot? I like the theatrical trailer, but it seens a little jumpy to me. The TV spot is better. You can find it here:
