According to Access Hollywood, Rosie O’Donnell told the studio audience at Tuesday’s The View that she’s been offered a full-time gig on Nip/Tuck, reprising her role as lottery winner Dawn Budge (pictured, with Nip/Tuck’s Julian McMahon). She didn’t say whether she’s accepting the offer, AH reports, but she’s only signed to a one-year deal on the morning show, so it wouldn’t be crazytown for her to jet. Still, I think it’s important for us to ask ourselves which Rosie we like better — Actie or Talkie?

I’ll probably catch hell for this comment but whatever… I don’t see why Rosie couldn’t continue on “The View” AND ALSO play Dawn Budge on “Nip/Tuck”.
“Nip” only does 13 episodes per season… and surely Rosie wouldn’t have to be in each episode. Also, “The View” goes on hiatus for the month of August so Rosie could film many of her scenes in advance.

Is there really going to be another season of Nip/Tuck? The fact that they would expand a one-note character to a weekly appearance shows Nip/Tuck needs to be
put down. If they put down the Veiw as well, we all win.

I liked talkie Rosie until she started bad mouthing Kelly Ripa who I love to watch. So now I think Rosie should leave the talking to the ones who can do it without putting down the few good people left on TV. As far as actie Rosie, I have never watched Nip/Tuck, so I can’t say on that point.
ROSIE SHOULD STAY ON THE VIEW. Not only because she made Star Jones leave (c’mon people, we all know she did!) but I love the way she argues politics with Elizabeth. Liz looks like she’s always about to burst into tears and I LOVE that! Those who watched the View before and after Rosie (like I have) can’t argue that the show is a hellavalot more interesting. Rosie as a lottery whiner? It’s a no brainer- go to Nip/Tuck. Her lines on the show will be scripted, so we don’t have to listen to the mean-spirited dreck that comes out of her own head.
Incidentally, couldn’t EW have found a better shot of Rosie for the post? She looks like Ron Jeremy in that picture.
Rosie has unmistakably upended and spoiled The View. Almost every segment has become dreadfully unbalanced, to the point where Rosie at times (like today) has referred on-air to the program as being “my show.” You can tell the other hosts (including Barbara) are walking on eggshells around her, and, in the Star Jones tradition, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Rosie’s contract was not renewed at the end of the year. (After which, rest assured, the charges of homophobia will be flying.)
So on to Nip/Tuck it will be.

Rosie has no proof that Aiken is gay and if she did, who cares? Will the media please leave this guy alone? Before he was a singer the dude got a college degree in Special Education and worked with children with special needs. He was an educator first, and that totally says something about his character.
Getting back to Rosie, minus Exit To Eden, and Another Stakeout, she is a pretty decent actress but a dominating talk show panelist. ABC, give her a new talk show please and let Joy take over has head panelist?

The Nip/Tuck gig would be a graceful way for her to exit The View. Who would replace her? Please, not another loudmouth. Hopefully it would be someone with a little class.
I was planning on breaking up with Nip/F–k after the finale next week, but this gives me all NEW reasons not to watch. Thanks Whitney, for confirming that my choice was the right one.

Talkie Rosie has CONSTANTLY annoyed the civilized world with her hypocrisy (The “Queen of Nice” berated Tom Selleck for owning a gun while her bodyguard was packing) and one of the most annoying voices in creation.
Seems like a lose/lose for anyone who watches either of them.
Yeah, Rosie, please stay on the View. I haven’t watched the View once since its 1st season until this season again. The show is great and without you, it’s just crap.

I say, she’s safer when saying other people’s words rather than her own.
How is calling Clay Aiken gay an insult? Whether he is or not, you can debate the appropriateness of the comment, but are you seriously insinuating she meant to insult him by calling him gay?

Rosie should stay on The View. She’s a breath of fresh air. BTW, she did not out Clay Aiken since he has stated many times that he is straight despite people’s perceptions. Just because dma69 is gay doesn’t mean Clay is. Rosie just meant the Ripa thought Clay was gay. Funny how interested people seem in celebrites sexuality. I guess there are lot of people around not getting any.
