'Project Runway' faces a fashion emergency!

13215__tim_lHow am I supposed to get any work done for the rest of the week? And two days from now, how am I supposed to blissfully gorge on turkey and mashed potatoes and store-bought cranberry sauce? (Oh, Martha, don’t hate. You know it’s best when it’s still in the shape of a can. Mmm.) I mean, nothing’s making any sense after reading Maureen Ryan’s report in The Chicago Tribune that Bravo has yet to sign up Tim Gunn for a fourth season of Project Runway. I don’t really care about the details — all I know is that Runway without Tim is like the Captain without Tennille. If Bravo execs have to head to the Macy’s Accessory Wall and fill it with booty to appease the show’s silver-foxy mentor, I say, "Do it!" Whatever it takes. Just make it work, Bravo! Am I right?

Would like to RuPaul take over the spot. She can critique ladies wear, mens wear, have a drag show dress making episode. Fab-u-lous!

  • CHANNEL

ONLY TIM GUN CAN MAKE IT WORK CARRY ON

  • Ceballos

Ummm, no…this just won’t do. Tim Gunn HAS to be a part of Project Runway, and replacing him with RuPaul of all people is insane. Replace Heidi with RuPaul if you want, but keep The Gunner.

  • shan

RuPaul?!?!? Are you kidding me? Tim Gunn is the best “host” on tv. Bravo has to sign him on – he makes the show!

  • Marc

RuPaul would be funny, but will lack Gunn’s refined class. The way he talks even turns me on… very well, make it work. Carry on.

  • Mark in nyc

No Tim Gunn, then I am not watching. Case Closed.
However if they don’t hire him back he should get his own show.

  • hulahoop

Well this is a HOT MESS!! There is no PR without Tim Gunn!

  • lelee

If they think the whole seamgate thing was a big deal, thay have no idea the backlash losing Tim Gunn would cause. Watching next season was already in question for me, but I will not watch without Tim. What’s the point??

  • Gretchen Weiners

Uh yeah I would stop watching.

  • Julie

No no no no no. And no. He is hands down my favorite aspect of the show, his presence adds such a touch of sanity to the whirlwind that is the workroom. No no no.

  • Patricia

Outrageous! The designers may come and go. They often show such promise and then disappoint, but Tim Gunn is the one person I can always count on to come through with his wit and class. Don’t screw up the great thing you’ve got going Bravo!

  • Nick

WHAT! Get on this! We need to know what’s up! I met Tim Gunn two weeks ago in Seattle – the sweetest person on Earth! I asked him when the next season starts and he said when the Parsons School is out – most likely they will start then. Maybe he is working on a raise, and why not!
Tim signed my Entertainment Weekly Magazine “Nick, Make It Work, Carry On.” I say to Bravo MAKE IT WORK!

  • Cameron

This show will not be the same without Tim. He is the best teacher and has anamzing critical eye. If he is not there I refuse to watch!

  • junior

What Bravo needs to do is start paying the man and maybe this wouldn’t be a question. I couldn’t believe he said he barely gets anything as the semi-host (and the fact that the models get nothing sickens me: don’t models know from Tyra [pointing to face] this is the MONEY!]) I too was questioning whether I was going to return to PR after this year’s longest season EVER! Without Tim, I may follow online but I’m def not watching Heidi and some new person try to “carry on” like nothing.
If anything, they should get rid of Heidi and have Tim host it!

  • Kiba

NO WAY!! They can’t get rid of Tim Gunn… I too would stop watching the show. They can replace Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia, or Michael Kors and I won’t care….but NOT TIM GUNN!!!!!

  • Kitty

Tim Gunn makes the show. If he’s not on, I won’t bother watching. Stipulated – Heidi, Nina and Michael Kors are all replaceable. Tim Gunn is not.

  • Ms Daisy

Tim Gunn is the only reason I watched this season. It sure wasn’t for Jeffrey’s stunning designs.

  • MIMI

Tim Gunn is what gives PR it’s credibility and class. I won’t watch without Tim.

  • Lynny

If Tim is gone, I am gone.

  • Anna

I hope this is just a ploy on Tim’s part to get more money (which I’m sure he deserves). Otherwise, Bravo needs to WAKE UP! Tim is the BEST thing about that show!! I love him.
    Carry on.

  • Ann

No Tim? No reason to watch! It’s that simple.

  • B Ro

If Tim isn’t there, can they at least get Santino to do his Tim Gunn impression? Where’s Andre?

  • toonces

I AM NOT WATCHING IF THIS HAPPENS.
    BRAVO!!!
    come ONnnnnnnnn
    tim OWNS the show!
please please please do not do this!
    thanks, xoxo

  • alice

Tim: Aaaaaaaaaandrrrrreeeeeeee! What will our friends at Red Lobster say?
Seriously, there’s NO WAY “Project Runway” could work without Tim Gunn!!!!!!

  • V.M.L.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE WORLD NEEDS TIM GUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Stephanie M.

No Tim Gun- no audience. Sorry Heidi! The show is nothing without him.

  • emily

Tim Gunn is class in a world of crass. He makes the show.

  • Dave

OMG, Bravo better make sure they get Tim Gunn back for season four. He’s the best part of the show!

  • Karla

Where is the money for this show going? It’s the biggest hit on Bravo.
Did you read the bit by one of the models who said that the models aren’t paid for their work – but only for the exposure and the possible payoff of the big win at the end? Huh? How could Heidi let models appear without pay? Those gals are working hard!
Project Runway – cough up the dough for our friend Tim. No more sturm und drang – just do it. You’re in your fourth season – so grow up, pay your people a living wage, and get with the program.

  • julie

Yooo-hooo, Project Runway, you can kiss another viewer bye-bye! Unless you make Tim Gunn happy, that is. *mwah*
Then maybe Tim will get his OWN show. That’d be AWESOME!
