I remember Ed Bradley's compassion to help struggling journalists, as he graciously did for me. I thank God for crossing his path, I shall cherish the lessons he taught me in the 'world of journalism'. God bless his wife, family and 60'Minutes staff.

As an African-American woman, I grew up watching Mr. Bradley on 60 minutes and have always admired his wisdom, wit & grace. He was able to connect with people (viewers & those he interviewed) in a way that both transcended matters of race and conveyed a genuine appreciation for his roots. So I just want to express my gratitude and appreciation for all that he accomplished in his life, which was truly well lived in the service of others. Mr. Bradley, you will be dearly missed.

How sad to lose a man of great character and dignity. In his obituary today, it was reported that he kept his illness to himself and continued working until the very end. A true hero and wonderful journalist. Rest in peace.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear this news yesterday. I had the honor of meeting Ed Bradley - and dancing with him! - at a party in the early 90's. Not only was he handsome, smart, talented and righteous - he was a gentleman and a great dancer :-)

I always enjoyed Ed Bradley's pieces on 60 Minutes. He was a really good interviewer, never trying to make himself more important than the person he was interviewing - which is truly a lost art in journalism today.

In a world where old school journalists are often dismissed and derided, one only needs to study the work of Ed Bradley to see just how important, enlightening and useful true journalism is to our society. R.I.P, to a true gentleman that will be sorely missed.

Truly Ed was a legend in the news industry and a role model for young African American men. A man of class and dignity that will be missed by many, especially me. Feels like losing a family member. God Bless you Ed Bradley. R.I.P.
