That is awful. As a H-town kid transplanted to NYC and Colorado, I know the pain of 1) no shows and 2) having all your friends in A-town gloat about them. Just as Hands Up Houston and a few others start getting decent shows to swing by, this crap happens. Terrible. I have a love/hate relationship with H-town…I want things to get better because it was my home and a lot of it blew (except for Biba’s and that one time GVSB came to Fitzgerald’s), but I also want it to rot because that confirms its suckiness. Does that make sense?

Ouch Laurie- I live right off Richmond! (It’s totally ghetto, though. I admit. And flooded at the moment…)
But I was really sad to hear about this. Doesn’t Houston get enough of a bum rap already? I really hope that this doesn’t turn people off to touring through here.

Whitney. I alas live in the fair flooded city of Houston. Like we don’t have enough to deal with everything we own washing away. Now we have to worry that cops will taser us at alt country shows and not just Midtown and Montrose metal and punk shows. What the heck I expect this on Richmond Ave, but in the Heights??
