Good list – thanks for remembering Wiseman’s film. I might add ‘American Beauty’, ‘War Games’, and if military academy counts, you have to mention ‘Taps’.
what about She’s All That and Varsity Blues? They weren’t oscar winning but they were pretty entertaining.

I agree with almost all of the films on this list, especially The Breakfast Club for number one, but I believe Never Been Kissed should also have been included. It’s a great film that is far too often overlooked.
Donnie Darko should have been number 1. Or better.
