Not to mix mediums on you (John Edwards, meet Patricia Arquette, ba-dum-bum), but as Velma Kelly so famously sings in Chicago, "I simply cannot do it alone." And by "it," I’m referring to live-blogging TV’s biggest night: the Emmy pre-show and ceremony telecasts on Sunday. So grab your laptops, bring your patented brand of snark (and maybe some Chicken in a Biskits), and flood the comments section as I fill up PopWatch with my stream-of-consciousness Emmy ramblings, starting at 6 p.m. EDT.
You wouldn’t want me to have to weep alone when Lisa Kudrow either wins or loses her richly deserved trophy for The Comeback, would you?

Is Isaac doing another pre show? I’ll watch if my man starts feeling up the starlets again! Watching the pre show last year was like a bloody train wreck. I could not keep my eyes off, no matter how offensive it got. And worse yet, I find myself hoping that Scarlet Johansen will get a chance to give him, as we say in Puerto Rican Spanish “Un Buen Gallestaso” (Translation:An open handed slap to the mouth)
God, I hate being a grammar nerd:
“Not to mix mediums” (I’m thinking it’s probably “media”, but then that would’ve killed the John Edwards/Patricia Arquette joke…so that’s ok.)
And as someone fluent in Puertorican Spanish…I thought it was “Galletaso”…(maybe even “Bofeta!”)…or maybe 10 years in Florida away from P.R. is too long.
Pre-show should be a hoot though.
Best of luck to you, Michael. If Lisa Kudrow loses, I hope someone is able to give you a ride to the sanitarium.
I’ll be your roommate if “The Office” loses Best Comedy Series.
I’m opening a bottle of wine, drinking it all myself in hopes that I will be extreamly excited when Lisa Kudrow/Valerie Cherish wins or extremely drunk when she loses!
As Juna a.k.a “babygirl” use to say, “Go Val”!
Let me start by saying Lisa Kudrow deserves an Emmy for her work as Valerie Cherish, but not in the comedy field (although none of the other actresses deserve it, and they actually are in “comedies”). VC should have been listed as a drama, and she would be worthy there as well. That is why the Comeback did not make it past a season. As wonderful a show as it was, it is more gut wrenching than gut busting.
OK, I’ll “blog”. However, that’s where I draw the line!
Please, oh please let Sandra Oh or Chandra Wilson win! I don’t know how I will drag myself out of bed the next morning if I don’t see one of them win.
