Tina Fey and Rachel Dratch aren’t the only ones leaving SNL, but they may be the only ones leaving voluntarily. Budget constraints mean that not only will Lorne Michaels’ long-running show not be adding any new cast members this season, it’ll be losing four. Who will stay and who will go hasn’t been made public, but we’re guessing that Andy Samberg, of ”Lazy Sunday” fame, and Weekend Update co-anchor Amy Poehler (pictured), are safe.
Michaels says the announcement will come around Labor Day. In the meantime, who do you think will get canned? Who do you want — or not want — to see canned?

Darrell Hammond, Horatio, Chris Parnell are definitely going. I wouldn’t mind Seth Meyers going, too-he’s never been that great a performer. Maybe Finesse-he’s so awkward on camera.
My guess is that Keenan, Finese, Chris, and the other dud that is not Andy Samberg (you know who I’m talking about). To tell truth, I don’t feel bad about this. SNL sucked last year. MadTV actually did better in quality (not in the ratings though) and MadTV was funnier, to me at least.
Hopefully, these pink slips will help the show get better because, Lord knows, we don’t need someone like Dane Cook hosting again. Ever.
I hope Horatio goes! I have a feeling Darrell will go because he’s been there the longest…and prob has had many raises. Seth won’t go…they need the cute guy…Finesse will be going. I hope Chris stays! I love Chris Parnell…Keanan will stay, they can’t an all white cast and Kristin Whiig (sp?) is poised to become the next Amy Pohler…she was promoted to full time mid season as was Amy…plus they need women!
Please…Let Horatio get the ax! Keep Chris Parnell & Darryl Hammond (and give them more AIR TIME)! Will Forte is useless (“The Falconer” & his George Bush impression are down right embarrassing). The person who deserves the pink slip the most is Lorne Michaels. He approves EVERYTHING that makes it to air. Lets face it, whatever golden touch he had (at one time), has been gone for the last few years. Time for a new Captain to steer the ship. Michaels is complacent, bring in an executive producer who knows what consistent humor & talent is.

Horatio NEEDS to go…he’s awful
Here’s my pick for who should go: Jason Sudekis (he’s not at all memorable or funny), Will Forte (his George Bush impression is just painful to watch, I actually can’t watch it, I mute it when it comes on), Horatio Sans (his schtick is getting old) and Fred Armisen (I just don’t like him). I really hope that Seth Meyers and Chris Parnell stay, they’re both really strong performers, they just never really get their moment to shine.
I agree, this past year was pretty awful. That’s why I’m glad to see Tina Fey go (I even like Tina Fey–I just think it’s time for her to move on). The writing just got stale and lazy. SNL needs a new head writer very badly.
I think the show really started to go downhill when they lost their 2 strongest players in the same year–Ana Gasteyer and Will Ferrell.

Chris, Amy, Maya and Andy must, must, MUST stay. Fred, Will, Kristin and Finesse all need to go. The rest I don’t much care either way. Except Horatio, who must stay so he can do CAROL!

In my opinion, Horatio Sanz, Seth Myers, Fred Armisen and Finesse Mitchell should all go. Then they should hire Kristin Key and Ty Barnett from this season of LCS.

I’m pretty sure Horatio is gone so that only leaves three and I believe it will be Maya, Chris and Finesse. As much as I love Chris, Lorne has let him go before and with the budget cuts, I don’t think Chris has a chance of staying. I don’t care about Maya or Finesse either way so I wouldn’t mind if they left. I’m just glad Horatio is gone because I hate Carol. Pure drivel

Maya Rudolph better not be going anywhere. She’s the best actor on the show (true, not the funniest but sometimes you need someone with acting chops). I remember Kenan’s story about his dream of SNL when he started so he’ll def stay. I hope Chris Parnell and Fred Armisen stay (luv Fred’s Camilla, so funny!)
But Horatio Sanz needs to GO! Even when not laughing at himself, he’s not that funny. He can easily be replaced by Gabriel Iglesias of Last Comic Standing or a large Barney plush doll, both are funnier. (oh snap)

I think everyone’s funny but Andy Samberg and Keenan. They are sooooo bad. My faves are Poehler and DEFINITELY Will and Seth Myers. I totally agree with the person who loves The Falconer. That’s my fave sketch of all time.
i hope keenan doesn’t get fired. I remember him from All That way back in the day on Nickelodeon when I was a kid. I was so happy when I found out he was on SNL, it must have been his dream come true. I wish him well for always.

NY Post said that Seth Meyers will be the new head writer so unless they are totally wrong he will stay put for now. That leaves: Chris, Finesse, Darrell and probably Horatio as my picks to go. Horatio is really not very funny except for “Carol”. Chris and Darrell have been there long enough though I will miss Darrell’s Dick Chaney. Finesse is just taking up space. SNL is one of those shows that goes into hibernation for a few years, then the show gets a sudden influx on new talent like during the 80’s when Carvey, Meyers, Farley joined the cast. Then it happened again in the 90’s with Farrell, Gasteyer, Fallon. Then the show awkens from its slumber and everybody loves it again. SNL has bounced back before and will do it again. Just wait.
I realize that I am very much in the minority, buy I think Amy Poehler is one of the most irritating women on TV. Weekend Update was ruined for me when she started doing it. I would love to see somebody else give it a try. And her little girl character is so disgusting that I always turn it off. Sorry.
I agree. I really try to like Amy Poehler, but she does annoy me. When she first started, I really really hated her, but now I just kind of hate her. I hate that little girl character. I was watching SNL the best of mike meyers, and I realized that her annoying little girl character is just a rip off of Mike Meyer’s harness kid sketch with Nicole Kidman.
I’ve seen every season of SNL, good and bad. If Amy Pohler goes, so do I.

Horatio is awful! The constant “cracking up” on camera is an act. “Carol” is stupid. I agree that Hammond & Parnell need more air time. Forte sucks! How can anyone think “The Falconer” is funny? Put Lorne out to pasture, he’s had 30 years at SNL, time for a change of command. Don’t even get me started on “Gays in Space”!
