Apparently, the release of the Lost Season 2 DVD has finally given the show’s stars and creators license to talk about what’ll happen in Season 3. The Associated Press picked up some good dish at last night’s DVD release party in Oahu, where several Lost-ies discussed how the upcoming season — which will be split into two rerun-free parts, a six-week run this fall and a 17-week run in early 2007 — is going to play out.
Exec producer Bryan Burk said those first six episodes will answer a lot of burning questions. Fellow exec producer Carlton Cuse says the show will finally play up the Jack-Kate-Sawyer love triangle. Michael Emerson (pictured), who plays Henry Gale (or whatever his name is), says we’ll get to know The Others this season. ”What I know is that we get to go live with The Others, where they learn a little more about their life and, hopefully, their mission, their agenda, whatever that might be. Maybe we’ll get to warm up to them.”
If anything, the most shocking revelation is that the Lost-ies weren’t much fazed by the massive Emmy snub. ”My first reaction to it was, ‘Good,” says Evangeline Lilly. ”I don’t want us to become that show that becomes so righteous, so above everything else, that we’re untouchable.” Yeah, right, but Lilly will prove she’s a good sport by presenting at the awards show on Aug. 27.
Whenever Lost comes back on TV is not soon enough! Does anyone else let like, a dozen eps of this show pile up before watching, just to avoid the cliffhangers? I totally do…

I read back at the beginning of S2 that we would learn more about “The Others” in S3. Good to see that the writers are keeping with a well thought out outline, and not changing things as the seasons progress.
And I also agree that the Emmy snub was disgusting. Esp for Mr. Eko and Not Henry.

And they’re going to “play up” the Jack-Kate-Sawyer love triangle?? Personally, I thought it was already played up…i mean, it’s there for everyone to see.
I miss Boone and Shannon – AND their freaky, unrequited love! They should make some sort of flashback/cameo in Season 3. But that’s just me – always thinking.
Or, um, is Maggie Smith busy filming “The Fog 2: Back to The Lighthouse” …???
Maybe they could bring Boone back from the dead on Mystery Island – Hey, don’t snicker, it worked for Leonard Nimoy in “Star Trek 3: The Search for Spock,” didn’t it-?
