1. Rageful and jealous. (Okay, so it’s the most obvious, surefirehit in the history of, well, ever, but I’d like to point out that Ipitched the very same idea in my Idol TV Watch back on May 23. How ’bout throwin some of the big bucks this way, okay, Fox? Yes, I’ll take my payment in quarters.)
2. Like it could just as easily be completely addictive or totally unwatchable.

2 and 3 sound crappy but 1 sounds reasonable. I mean I am sooo tired of listening to Diane Warren songs fill the air waves. We need some normality and those original songs from A.I. are sooo bad.

3) I don’t know, this sounds kind of funny….although I hate a lot of reality tv, so I’m sure I wouldn’t watch it if it came on.

I thought the songwriting thing was to add another aspect to “Idol”, not a separate reality show… am I wrong?
I actually like the “Grease” idea — I’ll give it at least a shot, I can always not tune in next week if it sucks. The mytown / boy band one is horrible, we’ve had enough crap like that already. And I’ll wait and see on the songwriting… (see my question below)

One thing that has bothered me about the Idol idea is the whole “Where would all these other FOX shows go” question. But what if the writing competition was combined with the results show? It’s such lame filler anyway, I think this would be the way to go. But only if they move the brilliant “The Loop” (currently scheduled to air after the half-hour results show) to after “The Simpsons”.
