Of those sadly not with us anymore? Have to go with Vincent Schiavelli here.
Of those with us? Well, I love Michael Deluise. Not for his bit on Gilmore Girls, oh no. For two episodes of CSI: NY he was Sonny Sassone, who is hands down one of the best bad guys ever shown in the entire franchise.
And even though now that he’s on CSI: NY as one of the regulars (so he’s not so much of the “hey it’s that guy” anymore…unless you don’t watch the show…), for a while Eddie Cahill was on my list. I still remember his stint on Friends as the only time I ever made it a point to watch that show.
Ok, I don’t mean to be a jerk, but I’m getting annoyed with the way, in order to read an EW story on PopWatch, you have to click on 4 or 5 links in order to get the full meaning of the story.
Just give us the complete info from the start! I feel like I’m reading a Choose Your Own Adventure book.
If I may go on a tangent…my DREAM “Hey it’s musicians!” lineup would be Dwight Yoakam and Tom Petty (did you experience his snaggletoothed character on King of the Hill) playing Willie Nelson’s sons in a variation on the Judds/Big Night/Fabulous Baker Boys at the Grand Ole Opry type vehicle.
I love anybody who plays a judge on “Boston Legal,” and this past season included such notables as Shelley Berman, Anthony Heald, Henry Gibson, Veronica Cartwright, Michael Ensign, Ron Canada and Francesca P.Roberts.
David Paymer is the Ultimate “Hey it’s that guy”
My favorite is Jeffrey Tambor (George Bluth on Arrested Development and Hank Kingsley on Larry Sanders), who shows up all over the place. He appeared as three or four different characters in various Three’s Company episodes, including the Ropers’ stuffy neighbour when they moved into their own spin-off series.
Newbie, correct me if I am wrong but doesn’t Tim McGraw play Boomhower on “King of the Hill”?
Stephanie, Actually, Mike Judge does the voice for Boomhauer. Tom was Lucky, Luanne’s love interest that used to work at the Frito factory.
Lachlyn Munroe. Pops up in the most random places. He was in a freaking Tori Spelling movie, for crissakes. In a small part…
Steve Buscemi. I know you’re all thinking he’s WAY too big, and I agree, but my ultimate test for this is to see if my parents know who he is. My dad: no idea, my mom: knew the face and the name but didn’t know it was the same person. Voila, perfect candidate. Although I agree with a previous poster that David Paymer is the ultimate choice.
