Happy birthday to David Duchovny and Charlize Theron

93959__birthday_lCharlize Theron and David Duchovny: two great names that sound great together — and also happen to share an Aug. 7 birthday. (Is anyone else imagining a teenaged Charlize, smitten with Fox Mulder, scribbling ”Mrs. Charlize Duchovny” on the back of her modeling card? No?) Anyhow, today I’m raising the poetic stakes by trying to work two birthday celebs into one haiku. Won’t you do the same?

    DAVID DUCHOVNY!!
    WHY DON’T YOU LOVE ME!!
Not a haiku, but does anyone else remember that song. They used to play snippets of it before the movies started in the theater.

it’s my birthday as well..and my best friend’s..but i suppose we don’t get haikus because of our lack of celebrity status. darn.

That song mentioned in the first comment is “David Duchovny” by Bree Sharp (from her first CD, A Cheap and Evil Girl). Super-cute, super-catchy song by a very underrated singer-songwriter!
I know I had a huge crush on Duchovny when I was younger. Hell, I still do! Happy birthday, Spooky Mulder!

I’m not really good at making brithday haikus (actually this will be my first) So, here it goes:
“House of D” and “Aeon Flux”
    Those movies sucked
Trust me, they’ll make more too.
Was that good? Please tell me!

  • Breanna

    Fair Mulder and Char
Can share birthday cake and tales
    Of poor box office.
