Ray I think you are in the closet, that is why you are bashing Clay so much. Go ahead admit it, we wont tell your mother.

  • Nancy Walker

Ray I think you are funny-not! I think you are the type that gets a kick out of being insulted. Why don’t you go take some lessons in how to be a real person. If you don’t like Clay, that is fine, but why do you have to hate him? He has never caused you any harm.

This has gotten old. Now there is this clown Ray on this thread. He probably is the one soliciting women and men on line. He needs to stop dissing Clay and his fans. He probably wanted a music career but bombed.

Jake, you and Ray Ray should get together some time. You can exchange notes on stupidity. I bet you have a big beer belly that is down to your knees. You are the turn-off. Jake go for a walk to Jenny’s, she is waiting to start you on your health regimen, meals included.

  • Ray’s Mom

Ray! I told you, stop bringing these trashy men home. Can’t you find a room?

  • Tina

Jake, your vulgarity shows what type of lowlife you are. I can just imagine the type of friends that sit around listening to you. Stoney and Wayne would be so proud.

Just heard all the samples from Clay’s new album. It sounds so stale and they all sound same. I doubt it will convert any non-claymate. At least not me, and I’m probably their targeted audience. I like pretty voices and nice songs and I don’t mind covers. I’m a fan of Groban, Buble, Bocceli and they all do covers. But what differentiate their hugely successful albums and Clay’s new album is that theirs have it’s own distinct sound, classic crossover or swing. By contrast, Clay’s sounds like a karaoka cd, merely a second rate of rehash of old hits, you know how far that will get you.

Tina, it will get you two platnium albums, and a couple of number one singles. It will pay off your moms house, keep you in decent clothing, and a huge fan base. It will get you the fame you seek. It will get you haters like Tina.

Clay does not need you Tina. All who truly love Clay will still enjoy his art-which is his beautiful voice. Thank you for sharing your love of contemporary and classic opera. I listen to th Andrea and Josh Groban, but don’t feel the need to rag on someone else just to elevate my favorite. You are another Justin Timberfake.

Wow, Clay, who needs enemy when you have claymates, eh?

  • Juju

“Who needs enemies when you have Claymates?”
    Turn-off Insipid, Nasty, Arrid.

    Dear Mr. Slezak,
Please get rid of this blog. This article has done nothing but stir up hate. Is this what you had in mind when you posted this? Is this what makes good journalist? Are you sleeping well at night because you stirred up a lot of people? Are you laughing right now.
With the wild fires burning in the west, hurricanes down south, tornadoes going on in the midwest, aids in Africa, and ofcourse….the war in Iraq, who cares if this is an album of covers. Who cares what his sexual preference is. Who cares if a fan buys more then one copy. Who cares if his targeted fan base are older woman.
He is not raping people, murdering people, stealing, dealing drugs, or bad mouthing other artists. So to the people hating on him, stop! Look at yourself in the mirror. Volunteer at a non-profit organization.
For the people who think he is gay, you have no actual proof that he is. The film could have been a look alike. If he is gay, I still prefere him to keep it to himself, because I don’t care who sleeps with who. I am straight, I got my lady, and that is all that matters to me.

  • Well said

To “Sad World”. Well said, I came on here to hear honest opinions of this album and it has turned into nothing but trash!
Thankfully I know many people who are not Clay fans but do appreciate his voice and look forward to his album.
They don’t care about the “scandal”, they just think he is a gifted singer. All this mean spirited discussion does not accomplish anything.
I don’t think the “Clay fans” are the ones being so trashy. It is a lot of weirdo’s who get their kicks putting someone else down. If anything, they are defending him because he is done nothing to any of you!
What they do in their support of him, should be no concern of yours. Like his voice or hate it. But no need to come on here and trash the man or anyone else.
This is a good example of how really low human beings can be.

As much as I love Clay’s voice, I am disappointed in this album. I only like about three songs. He should not have sang:”Every time you go away, every thing I do,I want to know what love is,” because Foreigner’s lead singer is a true rock power vocalist with the true feel for the song. And “here you come again.” His best was the first song on the album. Maybe next time a few masterful songwriters will give him an oppotunity to sing their great writings.
