Seems like everybody on American Idol season 5, from Kellie Pickler on up, has a record deal, so where’s the label love for PopWatch’s fave, Elliott Yamin? A spokesperson for the crooner tells the New York Post that E-dub is fielding at least two offers, but it’s hard for him to entertain those offers when he’s busy touring with the other Idols and doing charity work for juvenile diabetes patients. I’m not sure I buy the spin that Elliott, unlike the other finalists, is too busy to look after his own recording career, but I hope he really is getting some offers. On the plus side, a delayed signing could mean he won’t have to worry about releasing his record amid this fall’s pile-up of Idol CDs. When you’re good and ready to drop that disc, Elliott, the Yaminiacs will line up to buy it.

I’m not worried about him either. Elliot will have a record deal…that’s inevitable. I’m getting through my Yamin fix by constantly listening to his songs on my ipod. Each time I listen to them, I’m more appreciative of his talent. Elliot is going to be a huge star. Hopefully his fans and the world would get to see this soon.
I’m not worried, either – Elliott will get a record deal, and I will definitely buy said record. But I can wait – good things come to those who wait. I just hope the general public doesn’t forget about him until that time.

Elliott can’t do anything because he’s going to be signing with another record company and as of now he’s still under contract with this AI crap. I say AI crap because I think it’s pretty messed up that mediocre talent was signed because of looks. We all know why J records or whoever AI deals with didn’t sign Elliott. I hope his feelings aren’t hurt because they didn’t even bother to offer him a deal because he supposedly doesn’t have the looks.
Elliot knows how to put someone in the mood for love. His voice is beautiful, and I am looking forward to a really well-put together CD. The powers that be in the music world must do the right thing by Elliot.
I think is better for Elliott to take some time to make a good album,not a fast and mediocre one,people will look at that and remember,then they’ll say:”that’s why he didn’t win”.Of course I’m a huge Elliott fan,and I would love to buy his cd,I am sure that he has more admirers around the world than people think.

It’s criminal that he doesn’t have a contract yet!! He was the ONLY contestant who never sang out of tune and you cannot but help but like the guy. When he sang the national anthem at the NBA Finals, the fans’ outpouring of affection was so great that he had to stop for the applause a couple of times. He would have no trouble selling records. Some record company needs to give him a shot!!

Elliot was by far the best contestant of the season. And the only American Idol from season 5 whose records I look forward to buying. Keep at it Elliot – people really want to hear you sing. You truly move us.
Wow, some mega press going on this week for our boy.Great PR at work.Seems that there is a bidding war from two companies after him. Looks like the E man will have the last laugh over the “evil” one.Also looks like “THE STORM”, the hurricane Katrina project recorded by Elliott and Big Planz pre A.I. will be released at the end of the month. Something to hold us over until the album release.
I heard this morning on the radio that Elliot will be signing a recording contract soon, just deciding who to go with…yeah good news!
No worries about Elliott from this fan, he will produce a quality cd away from the AI machine with a label who “gets” his timeless appeal, great press this week for a truly awesome vocalist (and adorable as well)
Please please please get a record deal! I hope that it’s true about the two offers, and I hope they are from good, solid record companies that can support and market him properly. Thank you, Slezak, for keeping Elliott at the forefront for us and for record companies who may check EW to see what type of response is elicited from fans for Elliott.

If the general public forgets about Elliott, it’ll be a sign he’s not good enough. He’ll have new fans that never watched Idol.
Apparently, Elliott is going to come out with a charity single called The Storm in mid/late August, which will benefit a Hurricane Katrina relief project. I have no doubt that he will have a record deal. I just cannot wait until we get an Elliott CD! I’m sure it will be fantastic.

Well, Jamal…you better hope the sky isn’t falling cuz the Elliott will have a deal. If you were informed, other than terribly biased and delusioned, you would already know that Elliott has been recording demos and writing songs already and that he stated weeks ago that he would be recording an album and living in LA after the tour. Of course, his fans won’t mind one bit if you don’t buy it, cuz we know you’re gonna be standing in line to buy Kevin’s album!

Saw the idols in concert in DC recently. Elliott really impressed me. What an awesome voice. I will definitely purchase any future CD from this gifted singer. Fielding two offers? Maybe they are fighting over him. I’ll bet a CD will be in stores soon.
