The FLETCH movies bore little resemblance in style or tone to the FLETCH books. Chevy Chase turned the Fletch character into Chevy Chase, instead of developing Fletch into a character of its own. I hope this made sense.
I’m not committed to the Fletch thing – though I am a Kevin Smith / Jason Lee fan. What’s more important to me now is the obvious casting choice for the inevitable John Ritter bio-movie of the week . . . Spooky!
